Many experts believe that autonomous trucks will gradually become more common on highways, initially on predefined routes or in controlled environments. Full adoption across all types of roads and conditions may take longer. Overall, autonomous trucking holds promise for transforming the logistics and transportation industry, but widespread deployment will depend on overcoming technical, regulatory, and societal challenges.

Exciting how AI can take accountability in the core activity of Transportation: driving. Aurora is testing their autonomous self driven prototypes on TX; safety still one of the main concerns. In my opinion, as in any other innovation, it is a matter of get hands into action in any shades of gray environment, instead of waiting for pure black or white: if trial results shows that this vehicles are safe enough to do long hauls on highways, but not the final approaches into human density areas, let them perform what they do good, learn quick from it, and continue improving what it's still missing. The final approach to those areas, can be done by human drivers, and both worlds can bond together. https://lnkd.in/eX4i5Sxv
