What is the job?Reporting to the Can Plant Manager, the Quality Control Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of product quality and compliance with regulatory requirements. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence contribute to the overall success of our manufacturing operations. Hiring Conformity I think if you ask HR people whether they would hire a "Technician" or a "Genius" they will pick a Technician 99% of the time. A genius thinks out side of the box and will advance your organization but they will be completely disruptive - great ideas do not come without pain. The technician fits the company mould - you can easily slot them into the team, they won't ruffle feathers and the work will be predictable. If you are consulting, you want to present competence to your client - a proven roadmap with a stable team. So, what do the rest of us do - we either tone down our thinking and look, or we struggle to find a job where we fit. This is the situation where you need to work for yourself, or work with like-minded people. Some of the best teams are very diverse with a big range of personalities. We can dare to be different. Some of the coolest people I know are very, very different - but I applaud that completely.
