Australian Department of Home Affairs’ Post

On 27 June 2024, the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA) made two sanction decisions. The OMARA barred a former registered migration agent (RMA) from re-registering with the OMARA for a period of two years, following investigation into one complaint in relation to the former RMA’s conduct while registered. The OMARA also cautioned a registered migration agent following an investigation into two complaints about the agent’s conduct. The agent’s caution will be in effect for a period of 12 months and until certain conditions are met. The OMARA regulates the registered migration agent profession to protect consumers seeking RMA services. For a full list of disciplinary decisions, visit: https://lnkd.in/dfUQVrR
