Friends, I am happy to announce that today I start a new adventure as the incoming President of Noblelift North America. With our industry buzzing with innovation and change, I find myself more energized than ever and incredibly grateful for this opportunity. In 2025 we will be significantly expanding our team, product portfolio and programs as we strive to empower others and reach new heights together. Over the course of the year, I will be posting updates on our progress, a few insights regarding what is going on in the industry, and some sneak peaks into what we have planned on the horizon. I hope you will find these of interest. Currently there is some uncertainty out in the market no doubt… but from my perspective, the future looks so incredibly bright with all of the new technologies, ways of thinking, and aspirations coming into our space. What a time it is for those that want to create something new, set their goals a bit higher, or revisit what others thought impossible not that long ago. I look forward to meeting our exceptional distributors and partners over the coming months to learn how we can best help them thrive during this exciting time, and also introduce familiar faces to our bold vision for the future. Schweizer goes anti-cyclic.  The final countdown is on. We are just 4 days away from celebrating the 175th anniversary of our six-generation family enterprise. In December 2001, Pentex-Schweizer launched a new manufacturing facility in Wuxi, China, marking a strategic move to capitalize on the increasing market pull in the region. This decision reflected their commitment to expanding their global footprint and leveraging the growth opportunities presented by the burgeoning Chinese market. In the same year, the Schweizer family diversified their business interests by investing in the business aviation sector through Industrieflug IPS. This venture led to the establishment of Schweizer Air Service in Germany, which became their inaugural foray into the Mobility sector, indicating their strategic interest in exploring new business avenues. The following year, the Schweizer further solidified their presence in the aviation industry by incorporating Schweizer Aviation, an aviation consulting firm. This addition was aimed at providing expert consultancy services to meet the dynamic needs of the aviation sector. The family's continuous expansion efforts were driven by an understanding of the industry's complexities and the increasing need for specialized management services. In 2004, responding to the rising demand for comprehensive aircraft management services, the Schweizer family collaborated with the founders of ProAir Charter Transport, Elmar Monreal and Thomas Godau, to establish ProAir Management & Sales. This new venture was designed to offer a wide range of aircraft management solutions, addressing the specific needs of clients seeking efficient and reliable services. If only we had been aware that a storm was looming on the horizon, perhaps we could have prepared differently. The year 2005 was a particularly significant one. Today, I am excited to share a new chapter in my career: I am taking on the responsibility for Vinventions NAM (North America), in addition to my current roles as CEO for South America, China, and South Africa. This is an enormous challenge, but one that fills me with pride and motivation to keep building. First, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Denis Van Roey (my former boss), who trusted me, always challenged me, and gave me the opportunity to grow within this organization. My thanks also go to the Vinventions Board of Shareholders, including the company’s founder Marc Noël and the Chairman of the Board, Patrick Mathieu, who supported this decision. And of course, thanks to my new boss, Axel Vuylsteke, current CEO of Vinventions, for his immediate trust and support. This journey would not have been possible without the unwavering support of my team in South America. Since I joined Vinventions in 2016, they have demonstrated a level of commitment and professionalism that has allowed me to progress, learn, and evolve. Success is never achieved alone, and without you, I would not have reached this point. As Henry Ford said, “Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success.” I also want to acknowledge several people I have met along this Vinventions journey since 2016, from whom I have learned a great deal: Nagib, Malcolm, Mark C, Olav, Justin, Stephane, Fred, Gerard, Stan, Heino, Jay, Alejandro and of course, my great mentor Juan Carlos. Also to my Vistage 202 group. Now, the challenge is clear: to lead the development of Vinventions in North America, to get back on track with the plan we set out, and to position our company once again as a key player in closure systems for the wine industry and now also for spirits. We will relaunch Nomacorc, launch SÜBR, and consolidate our leadership in screwcaps with Vintop. This will be a significant challenge, but as Walt Disney said, “All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them.” On a personal note, I must say that none of these steps would have been possible without the unwavering support of my wife and children. They are my strength, my center, and they give me the drive to embrace new challenges. This new opportunity will take us to live in California for 3 years, and together, we trust this experience will be positive for all of us. Finally, I believe that being open to change, facing the unknown, and continuing to learn are the keys to personal and professional growth. As Albert Einstein said, “Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.” And with all the support surrounding me, I will keep moving forward. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. I am ready to face whatever comes next, with the conviction that the journey is always more important than the destination.
