I love Cars With Luke - I also love Porsche (in case you haven't noticed). In this latest video he takes the brand new 992.2 911 out and is less than impressed with some of the technological updates, which raises an interesting question: How do car manufacturers balance successfully introducing new technologies into their vehicles while preserving the mechanical/tactile beauty of "traditional" cars? I personally am not a fan of some of the latest additions creeping their way into cars today (haptics, the complete removal of physical buttons for vehicle controls, aircon vents without the ability to physically direct airflow) especially when they're sold as QOL enhancements. I'm curious, if you're spending $150,000+ on a sports car (or any new car) what are your expectations? [Hey Porsche Cars Australia - could I borrow a 992.2 to see what's going on here first hand?] 👀

🚘 Porsche 911 GTS Goes Hybrid Porsche AG has taken a major step by introducing a hybrid powertrain to the 911. The Porsche 911 GTS now boasts 534bhp, combining a flat-six engine with electric assistance. The 2025 Carrera GTS model will feature a powerful combination of a rear-mounted flat-six, an electric motor, and an electric turbocharger. With a 0-62mph time of 3.0 seconds and a top speed of 194mph, the GTS sets a new standard for hybrid performance. The base Carrera now starts at $122,095, while the GTS jumps to $166,895. Facelifted 992 Carreras are set to debut in dealerships this autumn, with the Carrera GTS expected later in the year. #porsche #porsche911 #carreragts #ev #car #cartech #hybridcar #technews
