Working for Autodesk has been one of the best unexpected surprises my professional life has gave me.

This Monday June 10 marked an important milestone as I celebrated my 10-year work anniversary at Altair! Reflecting on the past decade, I am filled with gratitude for the many opportunities I've had to contribute to the success of both our customers and Altair. What keeps me here for so long? The amazing company culture! Let me make the last post of this year! 2024 was one of the best and most rewarding years of my life. Luck is when hard work meets opportunity. This year, I finally received the opportunities I had been preparing for through years of hard work and persistence. Among the many blessings I received, I'd like to mention below the two of the biggest ones(Apart from all the love and support I received on Linkedin❣️): 1. Adobe Happened In October 2024, someone very close to me told me I would never achieve anything significant, what I'm aiming for in life because I didn’t deserve it at all. Guess what, a week later, I received an offer from Adobe. There’s a quote from Will Smith’s The Pursuit of Happyness that I'm deeply fond of: "Don’t ever let somebody tell you, you can’t do something. You got a dream, you gotta protect it. You want something, go get it. Period." Cracking Adobe was one of the toughest challenges of my life. It took nearly three years of persistence, even when there were no visible results. But when it finally happened, it was everything I dreamed of, let me tell you, it is all worth the hype! Adobe truly lives up to its reputation as one of the best workplaces in the world! 2. Health and Work-Life Balance Before joining Adobe, I worked at a company with a toxic work culture that took a toll on my health and work-life balance. I’m beyond grateful that I made the switch at the right time. Now, I've started working on my health dedicately, the greatest wealth that we have! And it does makes your life feel better! In 2025, I aim to pursue even bigger, long-term goals. I want to connect with my network on a deeper level and help others navigate challenges I’ve overcome in the journey, so they won’t have to reinvent the wheel. One of the things I love most is interacting with you. This year, I’m determined to take those connections to new heights, creating meaningful bonds and empowering others along the way. Today, as I celebrate my 1st Work Anniversary, my heart is full of gratitude and emotion. 🌟Celebrating Professional Bonds and Lifelong Friendships🌟 Reflecting on an incredible journey with an amazing group of colleagues who started as professional peers and evolved into lifelong friends. We began our careers together at Hilti where we sometimes fight and challenge each other when problems arise to support our own team 🤣. This month marks my 10 year anniversary at Hamilton Barnes. Time flies when you're having fun! Seems like yesterday that I was in my tin foil suit, pestering Nick Barker & George Barnes for a job. Mad to think that we started in a cupboard (pictured below). Fast forward to today: → We're now a multi-national business with offices in the UK, USA, Canada, and APAC. → I’m out in the USA with the team. → Back working alongside Ant, and both looking considerably better than the cupboard days. It’s been a wild ride. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 10 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗜’𝗺 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 10 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀: 1️⃣ 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝘁 𝗛𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘀 ↳ The goal was always to do this before 30 ✅ 2️⃣ 𝗛𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 £1 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲 ↳ Took a little longer than I would've hoped, but an unforgettable memory. 3️⃣ 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝗕𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿 ↳ Still only one of two people to beat the beast that is George Barnes. 4️⃣ 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝘀 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝘁𝗼 40+ ↳ Expanded into several tech & geographical markets. 5️⃣ 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘆 ↳ Some say I did this because I love the sound of my own voice. I can't disagree. 6️⃣ 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗛𝗮𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗲𝗻 ↳ Hoping to carry this approach into the US. 7️⃣ 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 (& 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴) 𝗖𝗢𝗩𝗜𝗗-19 ↳ Despite the initial scare, we saw HUGE growth post COVID. 8️⃣ 𝗛𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 & 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗔𝗺𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 (𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗛𝗕) ↳ Taking Charlie Cassie 🌳 from a data intern to a Director has to be one of my greatest achievements to date. 9️⃣ 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 ↳ Circa 15 trips, 3x Cisco Lives, and endless client meetings around Europe & the US. 🔟 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝘆 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗮 & 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻 ↳ More to follow - but it's been a very exciting 6-months so far. The best part? We're just getting started! 𝗧𝗼 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝗲𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲: Thank you for taking the punt on me. 𝗧𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺: You’ve made the last 10 years epic. 𝗧𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀: None of this happens without you. Here’s to the next chapter!

Lessons learned as I reflect back on my one year anniversary at Navistar Inc 💡 Goals are good if you want to win once. Systems are best if you want to win repeatedly. Although goals are essential and necessary for clarity and getting us started, they won't solve lingering pain points or bridge gaps. Focusing on developing/improving systems and processes is the secret sauce to long-term success. Ultimately, we don't rise to the level of our goals. We fall to the level of our systems. 💡Don't worry about changing people's mindset. Focus on changing the mechanics within the system and by default it will yield the desired outcomes. This is particularly relevant for #Diversity, #Equity, #Inclusion, and #Belonging initiatives post the Supreme Court's repeal of Affirmative Action. DEI isn't a marketing stunt. DEI isn't a handout, DEI isn't about lowering standards. DEI is about embracing, unifying and leveraging our diversity to perform at the highest levels of creativity and innovation while in a welcoming and inclusive environment where EVERYONE can thrive and be their authentic self. 💡 No one succeeds alone. Giving credit to others doesn't undermine you. It's actually a sign of your confidence and humility. Transitioning from tackling projects to shaping strategic priorities. Last weekend was extra special as I celebrated my birthday, surrounded by friends, family, and an unexpected surprise from my incredible company. Their thoughtful gesture reminded me of the power of appreciation in the workplace. Employers, take note: it's crucial to remember that behind every task completed and every goal achieved, there are humans—not robots—pouring their time, effort, and passion into their work.
