'Ill get a cheap DIY camera system and get my family member to install it'...... I think every security technician in the industry has seen this time and time again. Cheaper doesn't equal better. You get what you pay for. This client of ours had this 'DIY' system installed by a guy who claimed to install security cameras. The camera locations made no sense, the camera quality wasn't great, and the system was dying within a year. Not to mention the install was ... Interesting. It's so important to have a qualified security technician with a security licence install your cctv cameras. You will get quality cameras with a minimum 3 year warranty. You will have a professional long lasting installation. And you will have a bloody good security system that will give you peace of mind.
