Dentons Delany facilitated a collaboration between Seven Seas Water Group (SSW), and the Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) on the signing of a 12-year Build-Own-Operate-Transfer agreement for the construction of two new seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) plants. These plants will be strategically located adjacent to the existing facilities at Ffryes Beach and Ivan Rodrigues, utilizing some of the existing infrastructure. Implementation of the new plants will occur in two phases, with Ffryes Beach expected to commence water production within seven months of signing the agreement, and Ivan Rodrigues eighteen months later. This new venture will not only address the need to meet the increasing water demand, and expansion of water production sources. But also, significantly contributes to expanding and improving the local water infrastructure, combining a total of three million imperial gallons of daily drinking water production capacity to the people of Antigua. Marking a crucial enhancement of increased production capacity to meet the growing demand spurred by increased tourism, cruise ship arrivals, and economic activity on the island. Progressing this collaboration ensures a quick, reliable, and cost-effective water production source, fostering a strong, local, long-term partnership. Laguna de Bay, Philippines' 𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐥𝐚𝐤𝐞, faced a severe 15-day water service disruption due to high turbidity and algae levels, leaving 170,000 customers without water. In 2022, Maynilad Water Services, Inc. reshaped Laguna de Bay's future by adopting LG Sonic's ultrasound technology - Three MPC-Buoys were placed near Putatan Water Treatment Plant which had grappled with seasonal hurdles such as high turbidity during the “amihan” (wind) season and algal blooms during the dry season. This sustainable solution improved their water quality and ensured a more reliable water supply for the future of Laguna de Bay. Our proposal focuses on being able to bring water to any place that needs it, independent of accessibility or space. According to this statement, we have designed an innovative proposal for containerized desalination plants that are the solution to lack of potable water that affects important areas of the world such as Latin America.
