As always, safety is our number one priority! Here are some tips for safely using fireworks to help ensure an injury-free celebration this Fourth of July: - Never allow children under 5 to handle fireworks. - Closely supervise older children while using sparklers and never allow them to light explosive fireworks. - Light only one firework at a time and maintain a safe distance. - Wear protective eyewear when lighting fireworks. - Never hold lighted fireworks in your hands. - Never point fireworks at another person. - Never try to relight malfunctioning fireworks. - Soak spent and unused fireworks in a bucket of water overnight.

The Fourth of July is just a couple of days away. As we celebrate this day, the Ozark Fire Protection District wants to remind those thinking about shooting off fireworks within the City Limits of Ozark that fireworks can ONLY be discharged on July 4th between 9:00 am and the immediately following Midnight and be sure to clean up the debris that comes from them. NO fireworks are allowed within Fremont Hills City Limits. Here are some safety tips for the 4th: 1. Never allow young children to handle fireworks. 2. Older children should use them only under close adult supervision. 3. Never use fireworks while impaired by drugs or alcohol. 4.
