The #ElectrostaticSeparator is widely applied in #WEEE plastic recycling because the plastics present are often dark, which is difficult to recycling with NIR methods. The separation purity of common WEEE plastics like ABS, PS, PP-filled can reach ≥ 98%, with capacity ranging from 500 kg/h to 3 T/h. In 2016 and 2017, Armost's Intelligent Mixed Plastics Separation Systems won the Ringier Technology Innovation Award for making significant contributions to the #PlasticRecycling industry, significantly improving high-value WEEE plastic recovery. #recycling #plasticindustry #circulareconomy

"Think about the millions of pounds of stretch film that are used to wrap pallets of goods that are being shipped and transported.... from the back from the back of a retail outlet or from distribution center. Most all of that today is going to landfill. And that is incredibly high value product that has the opportunity to be used in very high performance- and high quality-required applications. So that's the big opportunity," said Alan Schrob of NOVA Chemicals this morning at PLASTICS (Plastics Industry Association)'s #FlexForum. Flexible packaging and film circularity (recovery, sortation, recycling, and end markets)--with chemical complementing mechanical methods--is the name of the game here.
