What started as a wild idea based on Vogue's 73 Questions, became an actual working thing. The concept name was Quickfire Questions at first, and after a (very very long - yawn) brainstorm with Hanni, it became Quick Queries.
Then we came to the practical questions: the perfect length, the right balance between funny, personal and work-related questions, can you #meme someone too much, do you let people prepare or not, does this align with our target audience, not serious enough for LinkedIn, etc.
We decided to just roll with it. I remember saying "let's just make one, and we'll make it better each time". If it would fail as a concept, at least we would have had some fun.
Around 10 Quick Queries videos later, Joeri starting this weird creative concept in Belgium, a waiting list of people who want to participate, and lots of good feedback from colleagues and candidates, I think we can be proud that WE DID A THING!
[Insert cliché quote from self] Sometimes it's good just to follow your creative energy and see where it leads you, you might be surprised.🧙♂️
