✨ This week in Avondale’s Summer of Surprises, we were thrilled to see our community come together for the Community Engagement and Opportunity Council’s (CEOC) “I Got Your Back” initiative. We started with a donation of school supplies, and thanks to the generous contributions from our friends at last week's Cars and Coffee Southlake, we were able to provide even more support. Because of your kindness, underserved children in South Dallas will feel more prepared and confident going into the new school year. 🌟 A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed! Our Summer of Surprises is about spreading kindness and making a difference, one small act at a time. How will you surprise someone this week? 💖 #SummerOfSurprises #RandomActsOfKindness #CommunityLove #IGotYourBack #SupportOurStudents

*Each One, Support One* Do you recall the "each one, teach one" initiative? In my childhood, its impact resonated deeply with me, spurring me to urge my mother to initiate educational sessions for underprivileged children in our community. Such a simple campaign but what a thought provoker! Looking back, I've often pondered the profound impact that even one privileged individual can have by giving back to those in need. Privilege, whether as fundamental as sight or as complex as socio-economic status, empowers us to assist others in ways both significant and transformative. We, at Saanjha, have seen how volunteering by the willing and small donations by friends is slowly but surely transforming lives. It is through the collective enactment of small acts of kindness that we can effect meaningful change. In a world where self-interest often takes precedence, the art of giving stands as a beacon of hope, reminding us of our capacity to uplift and support one another. There are different ways of doing this- mentoring, donations, volunteering time and skills, lending a listening ear, offering emotional support, or simply being present for someone in need. Each act of giving, no matter how small, has the potential to make a significant impact on the lives of others. Each one ,Support one -whether its a cause, an individual or a community ! #smallactsofkindness #artofgiving

New year, same kinds of arguments. Chris Ignizio & Jonathan Seeds are fighting (with each other) to tell the best possible story for a local non-profit that resources foster parents and kids who need families. Nonprofit leaders, your dedication to shape a positive future for our society truly inspires. Just like in Oklahoma, where a non-profit organization is tackling child abuse head-on. By raising awareness about neglect and maltreatment, they are breaking barriers. But the journey doesn't end here. We've heard it before, haven't we? Successful nonprofits aren't just about making change - they're about effectively spreading the word. Contrary to popular belief, marketing our cause isn't a one-size-fits-all game. It's about understanding the stories of the people we serve, creating connections, or as in Oklahoma – 'humanizing' the child abuse crisis. As leaders, let's learn from their journey. Let's educate, advocate, and collaborate our way to success. Tell your story, foster community partnerships, and engage in community outreach. Remember, you're not just building a non-profit, you're establishing hope. #NonProfitWisdom #PurposeDriven #GiveHopeDaily #ConnectCreateChange

It is estimated that tens of millions of people are held in modern day slavery today. But I believe in a world without slavery. That’s why I’m partnering with A21, a global non-profit that is working in 18 locations across 13 countries to eradicate human trafficking. One of A21’s strategies in the fight against human trafficking is Reach. Reach focuses on educating and equipping the general public to understand, identify, and reduce the risk of human trafficking through education curriculum, prevention materials, and awareness campaigns. When you give to my fundraising page (https://lnkd.in/dfu9sWuW), your donation will go towards A21 Reach initiatives, including things like: - Distributing prevention comic books for vulnerable children - Providing education to keep children safe - Expanding A21’s Can You See Me? campaigns Your financial support could mean the difference between a life held in captivity and a life that is free. I invite you to join me in giving what you can, where you can. Because when we show up together, we create lasting change in the fight for freedom.

What if one compelling story could unlock the generosity your church needs? Black churches have long been pillars of strength, community, and resilience, especially during social and economic hardship. They have been a haven for worship, a support system for the marginalized, and a platform for social justice. However, like many nonprofits, Black churches often face the challenge of securing sufficient funds to support their programs and initiatives. A powerful tool in this effort is the Case for Support—a compelling narrative that conveys a church’s mission, vision and needs in a way that inspires donors to give generously. 🌍 Inspire action through emotional appeals! 🌟 When it comes to driving donations for important causes, emotional appeals are a powerful tool. 💔 While facts and figures can inform and educate, they often fail to truly move people to take action. Instead, focusing on the story of an individual in need can ignite a deep emotional connection. 📷 Just one picture of a child facing hunger can tug at our heartstrings and create a sense of urgency. It personalizes the issue, making it relatable and tangible. 🤝 By highlighting the impact of a single donation and emphasizing how it can save a life, we awaken empathy and inspire immediate action. 🙏 Together, we have the power to make a difference. Let's harness the strength of emotional appeals to create positive change and extend a helping hand to those in need. #InspireAction #MakeADifference #EmotionalAppeals
