Inflight a-la-carte content programming is coming in the next 5 years. Chris Insall: Maintaining the quality of service across disparate services thats the challenge. Michael Pigott: In LEO networks we see an absolute revolution happening, we don‘t see that in GEO networks yet. Stephen Rice: Stellar Blus’s goal is to drive cost out of the product so that airlines can make more revenue. Edwin Edillon Jr.: One of the best ways to offset connectivity costs is to use ads. Dr. Joe Leader: I‘ve yet to get on a flight where the connectivity is perfect end-to-end. Airtran usecase: They were one of the first airlines to offer inflight booking of their flights with a discount. This business model was successful. Despite that success, I can‘t think of an airline today that offers the possibility of booking the next flight onboard with discount, wouldn‘t that be the best environment to offer such a service? I´m very proud to share this Hollywood-Moment I had last week in Dubai! #VOOhoo We were awarded for our ground-breaking product - our "𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠" functionality that we released just a few weeks ago and promoted together with our launching customer and co-operation partner GlobeAir. #gamechanger It allows charter brokers to 𝙘𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙖 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙨 for business jet flights with aircraft operators by just clicking one button -> the "𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐧𝐨𝐰" button. #eVOOlution There is no longer any kind of requesting, (manual) quoting, back and forth communication, exchanging paperwork and signatures neccessary -> just the "book now" button. Aircraft availability is given, the price is accurate and therefore the aircraft can be booked. Similar to a traditional bookings only after signing contracts, the flight preparation starts. There is no 100% guarantee that everything may go as intended and that´s also not the intention of VOO. 𝑰𝒕´𝒔 𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒃𝒐𝒐𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒇𝒍𝒚𝒊𝒏𝒈 nor does it guarantee the flight execution. It´s a contract and we all know the many variables an operator needs to consider and take care of, the impassabilities an operator has to deal with until an aircraft finally takes off (same here). We are proud that we made the booking of a business aircraft that easy but we are just at the beginning - we have much more in our pipeline! Operators are currently improving their setup and I´m sure we´ll see much more operators with accurate auto-calculated charter prices on VOO soon. #reVOOlution Some of them may allow instant booking, some prefer to re-confirm charter bookings - that´s ok.
