Psychology has become too commercial. As mental health professionals, we pride ourselves on providing compassionate individualized care. But in today's fast-paced, profit-driven world, therapy has become just another commodity. With the rise of quick-fix apps and online platforms, we seem to be sacrificing quality for convenience. Are we merely offering band-aid solutions to meet market demand? Is psychology succumbing to the pressures of commercialization under the guise of providing affordable treatment?

Totally agree. Right now it's not even about if you like it, want to study it. People are literally learning psychology and joining just because it's a growing market. I am currently reaching out to all kinds of people working in the psychology space, and I am asking a simple question "Do you like your job?", more than 80% said "No". I asked: "Then why are you doing it?", Answer: "It's paying, and the market will grow." This is really surprising to me about how people have made it a 'business'(In a bad sense). I agree on the part that it should be a business. I am a businessman and building a business with psychology Psych but the goal shouldn't be just profit and only profit. Because for that you might have to sacrifice the quality and passion of it.
