Which path should I choose: degree or apprenticeship? Whilst acknowledging that work experience is irreplaceable, doing a degree will give you knowledge that is at the cutting edge of your chosen subject. And you can take into the workplace and use it to add value. Taking on that level of debt can be daunting for some, but once you have that piece of paper indicating your education, no one can take it away from you. AND you can use it to open doors for you, for the rest of your life. To help you make your decision, ask yourself: What are my goals? What kind of learning have I previously enjoyed and done well at?
