With summer, comes many festivities. One of the big festive traditions in July we celebrate by shooting off fireworks. We want to share a few tips with you to help keep you and your loved ones safe. Firework Safety TIPS 1. Read and follow the directions. 2. Keep a bucket of water or hose close by. 3. A responsible adult should supervise all fireworks activities. 4. Only have one person shoot the fireworks. 5. Use eye protection when shooting fireworks. 6. Never point or throw fireworks at anyone. 7. Do not handle or relight a dud firework. Wait 30 minutes, soak them in water, and dispose of them properly.

As we gear up to celebrate America's independence, let's remember to keep safety at the forefront, especially when handling fireworks and other festivities. According to the https://lnkd.in/gBnwdt7v 2022 Annual Fireworks Report there were 10,200 people treated in the ER for fireworks related injuries, of which 29% were hand related. Here are a few tips to ensure a fun and safe holiday for everyone: • Never allow children to play with or ignite fireworks, including sparklers. • Make sure fireworks are legal in your area before buying or using them. • Keep a fire extinguisher, bucket of water, or a garden hose handy in case of fire or other mishap. • Light fireworks one at a time, then move back quickly. • Never try to re-light or pick up fireworks that have not ignited fully. • Never use fireworks while impaired by alcohol or drugs.
