Rescue training towers play a crucial role in preparing first responders for emergencies by simulating real-world industrial hazards, including chemical spills and fires. At Triangle Rescue in Orange, Texas, these towers, ranging from 22’ to 40’ tall, are used for hands-on training in various emergency scenarios. To protect the towers, hot-dip galvanizing (HDG) was selected due to its exceptional corrosion resistance, providing a durable shield against the harsh environmental conditions to which these structures are often exposed. HDG’s robust protection helps maintain the structural integrity of the towers during intense training exercises, making them reliable for long-term use in critical emergency preparedness. On April 24th, 25th, and 26th, 2024, the Fire Safety Department of Elefsis hosted an educational seminar titled "Introduction to Liquid Fuel #Firefighting," aimed at #training the personnel of the firefighting service. The seminar focused on the theory and practical handling of fire incidents in refineries and fuel storage facilities. Participants had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the phenomena of fire in liquid fuels and learn firefighting techniques during extinguishing exercises. Part of the seminar included a visit to the industrial facilities, where the firefighting equipment of production units was presented. This initiative is part of a knowledge exchange framework with the National firefighting service and collaboration to increase #safety and #fireprotection in the industrial complex of Elefsis.
