World Population Day reminds us of the pressing challenge that lies ahead of us - ensuring access to safe and nutritious food for diverse diets for a rapidly growing global population, projected to reach 9 billion by 2043. This calls for a significant increase in global food production and effective resource management, which we meet with our continuous main goal “zero waste”. The growing demand calls for alternative proteins as addition to traditional food. This trend is reinforced by quickly changing dietary lifestyles. We at BAADER monitor all megatrends like health, urbanization and individualization which drive change for society as well as for the economy and shape our medium- and long-term future. In addition to our core industries, we are continuously exploring new food opportunities to meet the diverse needs of a growing population, including plant-based foods, fermentation, cultured meat, and insects. What do you think the food industry will look like in the future? #foodprocessing #worldpopulationday #futurefood #foodindustry #innovation #megatrends #alternativeproteins #plantbased #fermentation #culturedmeat #insects #BAADER
