🌟 Why we love working in London! 🌟 The energy here is electric, and every day feels like a new adventure. It’s all about the vibe, the people, and all the exciting opportunities that come with working in one of the world’s coolest cities. Here are just a few reasons why we love coming to our showroom in the East of London. 🎯 Famous landmarks We’re in great company over here in the East. Canary Wharf, home to some of the world’s biggest names in finance and tech, is right on our doorstep. And let’s not forget the stunning landmarks like the O2 Arena and the Tower of London — constant reminders that we’re working in a city full of history and innovation. 🍽️ Great eats We think London’s food scene is unbeatable. From street food markets like Spitalfields and Brick Lane to trendy restaurants in Shoreditch, we’re never far from something delicious. Whether it’s a quick bite or a long lunch, there’s always something new to try! And let’s not forget the pubs… 🎭Tons of culture Art galleries, theatres, live music - there’s always something happening around here. A lunchtime stroll might lead us to an art exhibit, or maybe we’ll catch a pop-up performance after work. It’s impossible not to be inspired by the creative energy around us. 🍸Great places to entertain From rooftop bars with jaw-dropping views (hello, Sky Garden!), cool cocktail lounges like those in the Shard or East End pubs where the likes of the Krays used to hang out, London’s got endless options for schmoozing. We’re in the perfect spot between laid back, quirky Shoreditch and the riverside spots in Canary Wharf. 🌍 The ultimate place for business London’s a global business capital where you can connect with industries from every corner of the world. The city’s mix of old and new creates the perfect environment for creativity, collaboration, and growth. At Workspace Audio Visual, we feel lucky to call this city our workplace. Well done
I am delighted that, after three unnecessary years of delays, obfuscation and political posturing at its worst under the previous Government, our plans for Marble Arch – the only retail-led regeneration proposal on Oxford Street – have finally been approved. We can now get on with the job of helping to rejuvenate the UK’s premier shopping street through a flagship M&S store and office space which will support 2,000 jobs and act as a global standard-bearer for sustainability. At M&S, we share the Government’s ambition to breathe life back into our cities and towns and are pleased to see they are serious about getting Britain building and growing. We will now move as fast as we can.

Notting Hill has long been a symbol of bohemian charm and is increasingly popular with one of my favourite groups of expats - Americans. 🌍 💙 From the vibrant markets at Portobello Road to the coloured houses and eclectic cafes, Notting Hill offers an unmatched blend of old-world charm and modern luxury. For many Americans, the allure of this London neighborhood is undeniable. So, why are Americans choosing Notting Hill? 1. Cultural Magnet: With its rich arts scene, diverse restaurants, and proximity to cultural hubs like the West End, Notting Hill feels like a microcosm of London itself—perfect for those craving a blend of the familiar and the exotic. 2. The Lifestyle: From the quirky shops to the historic architecture, Notting Hill offers a lifestyle that is both laid-back and sophisticated. It's an area where international professionals can thrive while feeling a sense of community. 3. Proximity to Work & Play: As more companies embrace hybrid and remote working models, Americans are realizing they can balance a global career with a European base. With easy access to Central London and Heathrow, Notting Hill provides the perfect intersection of work and leisure. 4. International Networking Opportunities: As London's diverse, multinational hub, Notting Hill attracts a dynamic mix of entrepreneurs, creatives, and professionals from around the globe. It's a neighborhood where you can grow both personally and professionally. 5. The British-American Connection: Notting Hill's iconic status, popularized by the 1999 film, has a special place in the hearts of many Americans. It’s the perfect blend of British culture and that “home-away-from-home” feeling. For those of us making the move or considering it—Notting Hill isn’t just a place to live. It’s a lifestyle. It’s a chance to embrace a new chapter, connect with global professionals, and immerse yourself in one of the most vibrant areas of London. What’s your favourite part of Notting Hill? #NottingHill #AmericansInLondon #GlobalLiving #ExpatLife #Networking #Relocation #LondonLiving #WorkLifeBalance

The City of London Corporation is hosting a City Plan 2040: Heritage event today, celebrating the City’s historic environment and exploring the pivotal role that heritage can play in placemaking, the economy, and well-being. Leading practitioners in the field will join a panel discussion, followed by a debate and Q&A. Friedrich Ludewig, ACME, along with Deborah Saunt, DSDHA, Dr. Sadie Watson, MOLA and Fred Drabble, Shaw Corporation, will share their case studies, Celebrating the City’s Heritage. Friedrich will be discussing the Still & Star in Minories, London. The Still & Star, a Public House first noted in 1730 as a gin palace and slum pub, will be rebuilt in green pigmented concrete on Aldgate High Street as a gin distillery with a botanical herb farm, preserving an imprint of its history. City Plan 2040 is the City Corporation’s vision for how the Square Mile will develop up to 2040. The plan will: Power a growing, vibrant and competitive economy, with over 1.2m sqm of additional office floorspace delivered by 2040; Transform the Square Mile into a 7-day-a-week cultural and leisure destination for everyone; Ensure the City is a highly sustainable place to do business, with a net zero Square Mile by 2040; Create an inclusive, accessible and healthy Square Mile where everyone feels welcome; Celebrate local heritage while re-shaping those parts of the City that have the most potential for growth and regeneration. Our CEO Rita-Rose Gagné shares her insight with Property Week on creating a vibrant sense of place: “Retail is evolving with a stronger focus on purpose. While customer transactions may occur outside a brick-and-mortar store, the human experience within retail is clearly indispensable. For brands, engagement with their consumers is crucial and is growing in significance. Our focus is on broadening the uses and expanding the proposition of our destinations. We recognise and celebrate the art, culture and music of the cities we operate in, which drives footfall, engages new audiences and attracts best-in-class occupiers and innovative brands... By leveraging our unique city centre locations, our best-in-class brand partners and our extensive experience and capabilities with the introduction of tailored placemaking, our assets are fast evolving to my vision of vibrant, 24/7 urban ‘living spaces’ that have a significant social impact in the cities in which we operate.” Read the full article here: https://bit.ly/3wa5b9N
