Here we see four economists at the Reserve Bank of New Zealand discussing lags in the transmission on monetary policy. The complain about the delay in data; they cannot know what the current economy is doing because they have to wait for stats nz to collect and process the data. If only there was a site like www.gdplive.net that collated data in real time about what the economy was doing, and provided this for free for the public servants at the Reserve Bank to consider. It is such a shame that www.gdplive.net does not exist because that would be really helpful for the Reserve Bank.
