Dyslexia is a thing in our household that impacts on us all as a family. Over time we have learnt to embrace it as a family, encourage being proud and loud about differences, embracing strengths in other areas and accepting solutions. It has at times been challenging and is still a journey we continue with. We've put some simple things in place and tried to increase personal awareness by: Allowing time to process questions we ask. Waiting until someone has finished a task ie looking at a mobile, before asking a question Keeping written info short for tasks and the task list short Accessible IT and ability to change background colour. Not interrupting a train of thought regardless of what we are excited to share! Covering important tasks or discussions in the morning as less fatigue. One of the fantastic things with the business it is accessiblity. The simplicity enables achievement and reward. #empoweringwomen #dyslexia #familysupport #businesssupport

Day two of our confidence event done ✅ Yesterday we talked all about understanding dyslexic strengths. A lot of the presentation and the work we did yesterday is better understanding and building better perspective on adult strengths in the workplace. 📌 We discussed how to deal with the superpower narrative of dyslexic strengths and how it sets the bar so high its hard to realise your dyslexic strengths . 📌 Plus how to grapple with the reality of being dyslexic making mistakes but yet also having a value. What that looks like and means for us in the workplace. 📌 We broke down some common reasons you might not be currently seeing your dyslexic strengths and how to break those down. Its been so much fun this week talking about what is fast becoming one of my favourite topics to work on with dyslexic people. Reminder The Hive is for those of you are ready to goodbye to stress and anxiety of dyslexia and yes to systems that work, confidence in who you are and success in your career. https://lnkd.in/eAfreZ4r #dyslexic #dyslexicthinking #dyslexiaatwork #dyslexiaawareness #dyslexia

We all process information differently and that, in our eyes, is a good thing! For those with neurodiversity, having a workplace where you can embrace these differences is key in turning these into strengths. A few weeks ago, our Account Executive Cerys Mason did a 'Lunch & Learn' on how teams can become more aware of neurodivergent challenges so that we can become more efficient and understanding of each other. The attached image shared helps to visually demonstrate the struggles some with Dyslexia face - this was a real eye-opener. One excellent tip shared (and since implemented by the team!) from a training session with PLAIN WORDS LIMITED‘s was to help with time management was to imagine tasks as... Pebbles Rocks Boulders... to visualise tasks and communicate workloads to teams. #neurodiversity #workplaceculture #neurodiversitycelebrationweek

During my session at the Dyslexia Show 2024, I emphasised the importance of recognising and celebrating our strengths, especially when dyslexia can make us more aware of our challenges. We often overlook our natural talents because they come so easily to us, while focusing instead on areas of difficulty. It's crucial that we, as a community, start affirming each other's abilities and contributions. Celebrating diversity and understanding that our differences are what make us uniquely valuable is a message I'm passionate about spreading. #neurodivergent #lifegoals #careermotivation #selfdoubt #corporatecoach #dyslexia #professionalcoach #employeeengagement #atw #productivity #careercoach #careercoaching #neurodiversewomen #careercoachforwomen #mindset #increaseconfidence #careeradvancement #careercoachingtips #personalgrowth #dyslexiccoach #neurodivergentcoach #careergoals #personalcoach
