Precision Brickwork (NW) LTD Specialist labour-only brickwork contractors, supplying expert gangs to leading developers, focused on delivering top-quality workmanship and achieving NHBC 6 standards.
Every bricklayer makes mistakes. We're only human, and accidents happen—whether it's a drawing handed the wrong way, misreading plans, or setting a window on the wrong side of the brick. These are all common issues. The key to a successful build is checking the work as it progresses to avoid catastrophes and disruptions to the build program, especially after the scaffolding is down. However, I've recently started on a new site (no names mentioned). The buildings we've taken over are out of level, out of plumb, and nothing fits—windows, doors, brickwork, and blockwork all need to be completely redone. This situation is financially devastating for those involved and reinforces our company's commitment to quality. When hiring a subcontractor to bring bricklayers to your site, you want confidence that they are qualified, experienced, and meet NHBC standards. You also need proper site supervision to support the management team and catch issues early. The work I've encountered in the past few weeks has been nothing short of a trail of destruction. If you're looking for bricklayers in the North West, please consider sending us a tender to avoid the issues this developer is facing. We pride ourselves on our experience and supervision. Our bricklayers are some of the hardest working men around, and they take pride in their work. Managing Director at Avatar Drones & Media: Offering Video, Photo, Drone, Editing, and Social Media Managment
Left a comment on this post but going to post it in a quoted re-share as I think it's important. My response: 1000% agree. It's the same in the media and video industry. "How much will it cost" - well, this depends on what kit you want, how many hours you need me for, the deliverables [photos, video edits, instagram reels], how many hours editing it will take for all the deliverables (which are extra hours outside the on-location filming), how far away is the project, do we need to rent any additional kit to achieve your desired results, is the location near an airport and do we need to spend (usually around 6) extra hours (if not more) getting permissions to fly the drone, etc, etc. Will I do that for free? Unfortunately not, sorry. Do you want ownership rights to all the content, do we need to store all the original files in-house on additional harddrives for you 'incase you want to use it in the future' or would you prefer to purchase your own in-house harddrive, the list goes on and on. All essential questions we can cover over a zoom call, to go away and price up an estimate ✍️ I'm sure it's the same for every industry out there - but in this instance filming is very very similar to construction. The 'materials' are the deliverables, hours, and kit required. If you give a whole cost with a breakdown of options and prices, prospective clients can get confused, if you ask a budget they sometimes get annoyed. "What if you charge me more?" Our rates will never change depending on the company. Big company or small. But the brief and what you need, does. We're about providing value and producing fantastic results, and it's essential we have the info we need to achieve this. Would love to hear the opinions of my network on this one, too! Keen for feedback and thoughts.
"How much will that cost? Ball park? Just roughly?" I get asked this quite often as a brickwork contractor. I cannot answer that. If you send me the working drawings and I will give you exact numbers and break down of what the price includes. Anything else is guess work and I am not in the business of throwing random numbers about. Clarity is king. Every job comes with its own unique specification. Whats the pointing? What are the materials? Is it labour only or supply and fit? Whats the access like? Forklift? How do you operate as company? What are the payment terms? Whats the build shedule? What size gang do you need? So many factors. Random guess work only leaves both parties in a bad position. Do you agree or disagree? Let me know in the comments. Keen for feed back on this one. Happy thursday Linkedin. #brickwork #brickworkcontractor #suby #bricklayers #quality #bespoke #highend #prestige #lineup

Owner/users are back, buying industrial properties for their businesses. Many already own, pay cash, and need expansion space. Paying cash puts you in the drivers seat to close when you are ready. Here is another 40,000 SF walk through. We discussed the PSA contract review, the due diligence period, and scoping out all the improvements necessary for future operations. Here is the first list of items we’ll be quarterbacking for the CEO. Tree removal Concrete cracks Asphalt slurry Fencing the yard Racking going to be left behind? Structural engineer for creating pass through Upstairs office build out potential? When was roof replaced last? Inspection quote for tier 2 or tier 3 inspection Landscape cutback Column height triple confirmation Lease review Close after they move out Two or three cutouts between buildings You could ask your current landscaper Fire riser testing Family is in turtle rock City trees The CEO wants a building to expand into, not a laundry list of items to take care of. The more we can consolidate needs into the hands of a few trusted professionals, the better we are able to deliver the results that make for a smooth escrow and transition. Here we’ll provide an attorney, inspector, contractor, architect, structural engineer, roofer, asphalt, and fencing contractor and walk each one through the project with the clients input. Access. Convenience. Results. Concierge industrial real estate
