As my HR internship comes to a close, I can't help but feel bittersweet. Throughout the last few months, I have been in an exciting and challenging environment at Coors Field, having been thrust into the complexities of HR and employee relations at the peak of baseball season. I think back to the beginning when I was still finalizing my degree in Human Resource Management, feeling nervous and elated at the prospect of contributing to a team that is responsible for overseeing the compliance, wellbeing, and intricacies of 500+ employees with diverse backgrounds, hardships, and raw human emotions. 500+ employees: all bringing something different to the workplace, all making a difference and impact, all growing tremendously on me, and all further shaping my views on people in the workplace and what organizations can do to support and improve employees’ lives. I will miss our employees and my team, but I am looking forward to my next step. I am fortunate to be joining HR at a time where the role of HR is swiftly changing. While HR has a long running reputation of being the last department employees want to see or hear from (I can't help but think of Michael Scott and Toby from The Office), we are in an environment where the potential for HR to transform the workplace is unprecedented and limitless; I am confident that my experience as an HR Intern combined with my authentic passion for people will forever guide me on my path to making HR the department that employees want to see and hear from (most of the time!). And while this chapter is closing, I am eager to start writing the next one. That being said, I am currently looking to join an HR team at an organization that puts people first and is as eager to see transformation within the business functions of HR as I am. If you have any recommendations for jobs, companies, networking or mentorship opportunities in Colorado (the Denver, Boulder, Northern Colorado) or remote, I would love to connect with you. And for all of you that have been along with me in this journey, I couldn’t have done it without you. #OpenToWork #HR #People #EmployeeRelations #Opportunities #Mentor #Networking

🌟 Embracing the Journey as an HR Intern 🌟 Every day as an HR intern, I'm reminded of a profound lesson from a story I once read: "In a bustling city, there was a gardener who meticulously tended to a small park. Despite the hustle and noise around him, he remained focused on nurturing his plants. One day, a passerby asked, 'Why do you work so hard on such a small garden in such a big city?' The gardener replied, 'It's not about the size of the garden or the noise around it. It's about the impact of each plant growing strong and healthy. Every blossom makes this city a little more beautiful.' As I dive deeper into the world of Human Resources, I realize we are much like that gardener. Our role might seem small in the grand scheme of an organization, but by nurturing talent, fostering growth, and cultivating a positive environment, we create a thriving workplace where each individual can bloom. Every resume reviewed, every interview conducted, and every training session organized is a step towards a more vibrant and successful organization. It's not just about filling positions; it's about planting the seeds for future success and watching them grow. Excited to continue this journey and see what blossoms next! 🌱✨ The_Internspire Shrashti Pramal Sourabh sen #HRIntern #HumanResources #ProfessionalGrowth #WorkplaceCulture #FutureOfWork

Co-Founder and COO | Startup Consultant | Global Recognition Award 2024 (@ age 20) I Rapidvise Consulting
Regrets after my first HR internship As I understand the work of an HR, it is a highly complex job requiring a high level of people skills. When I first did it for an organisation, my job was limited to recruitment and then managing a small team. But when it expanded to a start up, I realised managing interns(paid/unpaid) was obviously even harder. There is no fixed solution to it but there is a model that has highly interested me - Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs I believe every intern we are recruiting in an organization looks forward to meeting his/her psychological needs first, followed by stability and then to finding connection in an organisation (human tendency), followed by sense of recognition and finally to exposure that enable them to be the best versions of themselves. If we learn to appreciate and respect these needs, maybe recruiting and retaining employees wouldn't be that difficult. What is your thoughts on it. Feel free to comment and indulging in fruitful conversation.
