The #ElectrostaticSeparator is commonly applied in #WEEE plastic recycling, can you use them to separate other plastics? ♻ The short answer is YES! Recently, an old customer came to us for HDPE/PP separation, a material mixture commonly processed by NIR sorters. The testing results were exceptionally good, with purity of HDPE and PP reaching at least 99% after going through the Electrostatic Separation process. ✨ The advantage of using the Electrostatic Separation process is its ability to process large amounts of materials. 💪 ♻ Our award-winning Intelligent Mixed Plastic Separation System can process up to 3 tons of mixed plastics per hour, far exceeding NIR sorter's common capacity. #recycling #plasticrecycling #sustainability #circulareconomy

GM Plastic Recycling Division The Tandem PLUS technology allows to have all the advantages of the classic Tandem line with the possibility to improve the characteristics of material during the upcycling process. This solution is ideal for the production of compounds for special applications. The Tandem PLUS line provides the combination of the first extruder as a single screw and the second a twin screw. From the COMPAC® unit, the material is pushed with constant flow from the feeding screw into the first extruder. Connected to the first extruder there is a self-cleaning screen changer, installed to remove the contaminants present in the melted polymer. At the exit of the screen changer, the melt is "degassed" by the high performance vacuum chamber to avoid defects in the granules such as "air bubbles". This vacuum system allows the removal of up to 10 times more gas and humidity in the melted material compared to other systems. The polymer is "enriched" with master, carbonate and various additives inside the twin-screw extruder.
