AI will not be taking my job…at least not this month anyway. For now, it’s a wonderfully interesting assistant. Having recently finished a 4-week, self-paced course on AI Filmmaking through Curious Refuge, I’ve come to appreciate how this crazy technology can help me be a better storyteller. The class stressed that AI applications are simply tools. Tools to help create images and find words. Like any creative process, whether assisted by AI or not, images and words are just that, until our own creative abilities shape them into stories that resonate with audiences. There are many, many AI tools available, all improving by the day, with many, many more being introduced each week. For our class we utilized AI tools for concept development, image creation, image uprezing, in-painting and out-cropping, camera motion, scene animation, face swapping, facial animation, lip-synch, and voice creation and manipulation. Some tools required text prompts starting what’s really an iterative process because an initial prompt rarely generated an image close to what was described. Interestingly, several well-known and widely used filmmaking applications for effects compositing, sound mixing, and video editing were critical in completing the weekly exercises. AI Filmmaking is a lot of work. Yet a lot of fun too. I got to be a writer/director/art director/cinematographer/animator/VFX artist/voice talent/sound mixer/editor all on the same project. Attached is my AI Filmmaking course week 4 assignment. It’s certainly not ready for primetime, far from it. At best it’s a pretty good animatic. The visual issues noticeable in this exercise, realism, consistency, motion, and quality will be resolved as these tools get better. Having seen work created by others who have advanced experience with these new and constantly evolving AI tools, I expect that some fantastic stories are coming. https://lnkd.in/e2tHr8sf

Strategist creating distinctive love brands that will shape the future and impact the lives of many. Working with ❤️and 🚀 attitude | Ex-Zalando | Ex DrSmile.
Written in the bathtub while listening to a record. Guess which one ;) A brand that does not inspire and invite you to dream today has not recognized the seriousness of the times. It usually starts with the briefing. During the first scan, it quickly becomes clear that someone is once again trying to create the egg-laying wool-milk sow. There are then two scenarios for how to react and proceed. The busy bee simply rewrites the briefing a little without any critical reflection, adds some "insights" and then briefs the creatives directly, who have usually already switched to "I couldn't care less mode" in advance and respond with bitter irony paired with sarcasm and develop two "creative" routes, which are then presented to the customer. We all know what that amounts to. An expensive, huge 0 is created and unleashed on humanity. Yes, exactly, a "zero". It is the absolute biggest goal that is being worked towards. Do nothing wrong, have everything somehow taken into account, a tick is placed everywhere. That makes us "safe". And that's basically what it's all about: safety. Safe that I won't get into too much trouble, that I'll keep my job, that I might even get my next bonus. This safety-oriented behavior is fueled by resignation. And this is usually triggered by superiors in the first place. The fish stinks from the head. The second option is to completely crumple up the briefing and throw it straight into the wastepaper basket. That was the only purpose of the briefing: to let the account director play Michael Jordan or Koby for a few seconds. Thank you. Then they sit down with the client and discuss one question: what's the problem? This second scenario sounds catchy, but it hardly ever happens. Self-confidence, clear, progressive and creative thinking. These characteristics nourish the very attitude that is so often missing. And that's why all these slick ‘brands without attitude’ communicate so much and say nothing and reach no one, let alone put them into dream mode. It is clear to all of us that it is precisely the ambiguity, the blurriness, that arouses our interest. And it is precisely in these times that it is our job to inspire people and even invite them to dream. This is your time to shine. More risk, please. More otherness, more courage to be ambiguous and blurry. More attitude. More focus on the less. More courage for friction. More courage for discourse. More courage to dream. You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one.

When you look at modern video editing, I think you are bound to think when do we run out of the transitions or cuts or masks? What new can come around and you are trying to implement animation and 3d models and what not. But here is something that I love about this ad. Ofcourse it has great effects, very clean mask, good colors and a lot of green screen work but everything on screen just looks so effortless. Back when I was working as an animator in a digital media house, I was lucky to get a very kind boss who explained me how flow in a video is the most important thing. You can have a great drop or crazy effects to amplify your message but what really catches the eye always and keeps the viewer glued to the screen till the end is always the “seamless flow”. Just like this video. One of my personal fav. #videoediting #advertisement #adcampaign #artdirection

Simplicity, elegance and sophistication. It is not about the wow factor or the technology. It is how the elements are used together to tell a story, to move the audience. How you use the elements elevates an event to a theatrical experience. #showproduction #artsandculture #artsandentertainment #olc #ourlegacycreations #creative #show #creativity #concept 🔥🔥🔥 🎭🎶🤸♀️
