Excellent report on 2023 Bali's performance and the opportunity around branded residences. In summary, there are fewer branded residences in #bali than in other SEA destinations. Why? 1. Large Indonesian property groups prefer larger-scale projects in Jakarta and other urbanizing locations. 2. A restrictive environment on foreign property ownership, with a lack of transparency or consistency. 3. The costs of PMA companies to hold these assets increased over the last few years. However, as the report suggests: “there is a changing mindset of Indonesian developers to develop branded residences in Bali, and this is expected to grow to a wider scale among those seeking second or holiday homes. Once domestic buyers enter the broader resort-grade property market, we expect that impact to be a game-changer for branded residences.” #baliindonesia #realestatedevelopment #brandedresidence
Bali is back and tourism is booming. Did you know in 2023 5.3 million international visitor arrivals and nearly 10 million domestic travelers went to Bali? Read the latest on one of Asia's best-known travel destinations in C9 Hotelworks and Horwath HTL Bali Hotel and Branded Residences report 2024. Spain is recognized as a preferred destination for luxury travel, surpassing France, Italy, Greece, and the United States according to a report by Condé Nast Johansens. This preference for Spain is expected to have implications for its real estate market. Approximately 30% of surveyed luxury travellers intend to vacation three to four times a year, with preferences for urban over beach destinations. The expansion of luxury hotel accommodations in Madrid and Barcelona suggests growth in high-end tourism. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/dqq_fDsZ #lucasfox #luxuryrealestate

2024 is here, and our requests for tour proposals are growing. Because of this, I figured I would try to clear up a few misconceptions that seem to come up daily when people ask us about traveling to Portugal: 1) Portugal is NOT cheap. Sure, there are still good value options here, but Portugal is in the big leagues now. DO NOT expect to undercut prices you find in Spain or elsewhere; costs have gone up, and for good reason: Portugal has amazing experiences that warrant higher prices. 2) Portugal is not a great last-minute place to book a quick visit. Sure, you can do it, but quality experiences and good hotels are booked well in advance today. Right now, finding great hotels even six months out is harder and harder. Book early and with less stress. 3) Portugal is not just Lisbon, Porto and the Algarve. Geres and the north is an amazing playground for nature lovers and those who want to escape the crowds. Inland, the areas of Tras-os-Montes and the Dão/Serra da Estrela region are full of uncrowded villages and great nature. The Alentejo is vast and full of places to relax and enjoy some time just soaking in the landscapes. 4) The Douro is not Portugal's only wine region worth visiting. Granted it is amazing, and I would highly recommend visiting it, but for amazing landscapes and top wines, DO NOT miss Vinho Verde, Dão, Tras-os-Montes, Bairrada, Alentejo, Colares, Lisboa, not to mention the islands, particularly Pico in the Azores. There are others, but these four are important to remember when booking your trip to Portugal. This small country has a big heart and is full of treasures. I hope this helps a few people to plan their trip in 2024! #travel #travelindustry #portugal #visitportugal #travelplanning

Last year more than 25 million visitors travelled to Portugal and the World Travel & Tourism Council recently revealed that the tourism sector’s economic contribution is expected to exceed €54B in 2024, supporting more than one million jobs. Hilton, which has been present in Portugal since 2007, now has 25 hotels and over the past few years we’ve truly capitalised on owners’ growing appetite for our award-winning brands and rising traveller demand. We’ve introduced several new brands, with particularly strong growth for our Curio Collection by Hilton and Tapestry by Hilton brands, including the recently opened DUO Hotel Lisbon, Curio Collection by Hilton. We expect at least 11 hotels to join our Portuguese portfolio in the coming years, including the recently announced Canopy by Hilton Vilamoura Marina, the DoubleTree by Hilton Lisbon Airport and the Santo André Beach Hotel, Tapestry Collection by Hilton - our first property in the lesser explored Setúbal region.
