To incorporate culturally sustaining pedagogy in English teaching, the following steps can be helpful. 1. Integrate diverse cultural perspectives into your English teaching materials, including literature, media, and other resources. Consider the representation of different cultures and voices in the materials you use. 2. Create a classroom environment that promotes inclusivity, respect, and understanding of diverse cultural backgrounds. Encourage open discussions about cultural differences and similarities. 3. Incorporate project-based learning activities that allow students to explore and express their own cultural identities while learning English. This could involve projects related to cultural traditions, history, or contemporary issues. 4. Reflect on your teaching practices and biases, and consider how they may impact students from different cultural backgrounds. Seek feedback from students and colleagues to continuously improve your approach. 5. Collaborate with other educators and community members to expand and enrich the cultural content of your English teaching. This could involve inviting guest speakers, organizing field trips, or partnering with cultural organizations. #education #englishlearning #teachingenglish #languagelearning

The way we teach new languages can and should encourage children to use their existing language repertoire. Bilingual pedagogy is one such highly useful method. But what exactly is bilingual pedagogy? How is it different from translating words and sentences from the local language to English in the classroom? Let us explore how bilingual pedagogy works, especially for teaching English as a second language (ESL) and building inclusive classrooms. #esl #pedagogy #teaching #classrooms #teachers #students #children #ngo Madhukar Reddy Banuri | Anurata Tribhuvan | Ahona K. | Mayuresh Bhoyte | Aishwarya Gadgil | Saurabh Pandkar

ATTENTION TO ALL ENGLISH TEACHERS AND LEARNERS IN THE WORLD To validate the points I raised in my previous post, "Learning English with Today's Methods Is Just a Dream for All Foreigners," I'd like to offer you an example of an unusual lesson that demonstrates All English teachers unwittingly transmit utterly false information that has nothing to do with the genuine English that we speak in the UK. In this particular phase of lesson; 1- You'll notice the distinction between the English we speak in England and the phony English that is taught in classrooms nowadays all across the world. 2-During the lesson, a native speaker can sit next to you and share the same knowledge. Because he or she is a learner of English just like you, the sole distinction is that they apply it through memorizing. 3-This will be an actual lesson lasting one academic hour. The information presented in the lesson does not exist anywhere. We're ready to prove it. Are you prepared to learn reality? If you are, then contact us on ronnsenglish@gmail.com

Profesor de inglés en Instituto Juan Segundo Fernandez (Obra Don Bosco- San Isidro-) , San Román y Porteño
What does a teacher of English as a second language do? As English teachers, we teach a language and provide access to one of the most important tools that has been opening doors in the world for centuries. Students have the opportunity to discover the world beyond the one they know, history, which often helps to understand the origins of who we are or those around us. We create worlds of possibilities. We develop critical thinking so that students also develop the ability to express their critical opinion of the world around them, from the most simple and day-to-day to the most controversial and intrinsic of human beings, along with cultures around the world. We broaden the vision. And all this is achieved with creativity, empathy, dynamics and variety. You don't need big productions, you simply need to awaken the curiosity of the students and get them involved in the subject, to achieve the acquisition of vocabulary and access to other cultures and realities in a natural way. 😎 📚 🌍 🗺 🗣 #teaching #secondlanguage #toolsfortheworld #education

I invite both novice and seasoned English teachers to proactively take part in regular discussions to set the stage, not only for exchanging professional experience and linguistic insight, but also for discussing alternative, neurologically-friendly ways of imparting and conveying English #tefl, #esl, #teaching_english #elt,
