Need applicants for your entry-level jobs? Entry-level jobs in the restaurant industry can be so hard to find just the right applicant for. This article has some really great ideas that will make your restaurant job stand out. Organizational Coach & Passionate Youth Sports Advocate "Take care of your people first, they will take care of the problems"
The process my son had to undergo to get a job as a local restaurant busser. Step 1: Apply online at Indeed (Really....for a teenager applying to bus tables?) Step 2: Get called in to fill out an "actual" application at the restaurant. 🙄 Step 3: Interview (to their credit, they interviewed him there on the spot) Step 4: Wait for call for job offer...which came about 30 minutes later. (Uh, clearly you were planning to hire him, why not just do it on the spot?) Really? All of that to bus tables? I mean, it's been a really long time since I was a teenager working at entry level jobs but this is a bit much. My experience went like this. Step 1: Apply in person (there was no "online" back then) Step 2: Interview on the spot (we didn't waste time having people go back and forth) Step 3: Job offer on the spot Step 4: Began Intro to orientation (with full orientation at a later date) on the spot. Everything done in about less than an hour...from application to hiring. Am I missing something here?

Gentlemen, recruiting managers. Please research the job title before using it as an employment title (for example, a chef is required in the advertisement, and job requirements for a chef or assistant chef are presented during the interview), and, of course, when asking for an operations manager or chef, you must read and study their job description, consider the salary and work powers, and compare experience. Too many kings but there is no crowns

Leading a team of marketing and communications recruiters across corporate and agency brands - Marketing Recruiter & Luxury Recruitment( 杰克逊罗丝招聘 )
Tell me why you want this role ? Tell me, what is it that you love about our brand ? Of the projects we’ve worked on over the last few months these are the questions that people have become unstuck on the most… it really is the main reason why candidates are rejected. So, and I know this will have been said by a lot of people already, doing your research on a brand before the interview. Its so so vital. If it’s a hotel group try and go and see one of two of them, have a coffee in one and absorb the vibe, if it’s a PR agency look up as much of the coverage they’ve achieved and try and figure out what you liked about it. If it’s a restaurant brand go and eat there, read the books the chef has written etc… Whatever the type of company try and get under the skin of what they do. Of the four roles we’ve filled this month all the candidates had something to say when asked this question. So do your research and not only be keen but appear to be keen… its so important. Bonne Chance !! 😊 #marketingrecruitment #prrecruitment 😀

Dear job seekers, I recently posted a Front Office Team Leader role for a five-star hotel pre-opening. The response was overwhelming - 500 applications! However, only 5% of applicants had the experience required. I understand times are tough, but random applications aren't the answer. Here's why: ❌ It doesn't increase your chances of selection ❌ It wastes both your time and recruiters' ❌ It can harm your professional reputation Applying to jobs should be strategic, not a "spray and pray" approach. Sending your CV to every opening, regardless of fit, is like firing a machine gun blindly - ineffective and potentially damaging. Quality over quantity. Each application should showcase why you're the right fit for that specific role. Be selective. Be relevant. Be professional. Your future employer will appreciate you. #JobSearch #Recruitment #HospitalityJobs

Dear Job Applicants, When applying for a position with any company, it's important to include a brief introductory paragraph in your email. Mention your current position, the role you are applying for, and a few sentences about yourself. Simply sending an attachment of your CV with the subject line "Job Application" and leaving the email body empty is not sufficient. Regardless of whether you are applying for a Non-Executive, Executive, or even a waiter position at a restaurant, the effort you put into your email can make a significant impact. A well-crafted email reflects positively on you and shows your seriousness about the opportunity. Therefore, make a strong first impression with a thoughtful and complete job application email because it does matter. #advice #jobapplicationemail #becauseitdoesmatter

Top 5 Recruitment Mistakes in 2024 🤠 1. Obscure job titles - WTF is a Beverage Dissemination Officer?! (Apparently a barman...) 😖 2. Ghosting candidates or taking days to respond – because everyone loves dating... I mean, applying for jobs. 3. Lengthy job descriptions – Spoiler alert: Nobody reads past chapter 3. SELL your company to potential candidates! 4. Ignoring Culture Fit – It's only the entire workplace vibe at stake, right? 5. Not using eTalent to avoid not 1, but ALL of these faux pas! 😎 #Recruitment #HR #HiringMistakes #JobSearch #TalentAcquisition #Psychometrics #HiringRight
