After a year away from the traditional work environment, I'm crawling out of my den and finding exciting ways to practice my favorite skills. Here's one that I guarantee, each of you could find interesting! This year, Colorado kicks off recognition of our Nation's 250th and our State's 150th anniversaries which take place in 2026. https://lnkd.in/gWrxYdKT I've been asking around my community in Trinidad, Colorado (incorporated in 1876, the same year Colorado's statehood was made official) and I'm hearing a lot of interest in both the past and the future. Here's the survey I'm using to capture community input. If you have a connection to Trinidad, I'd especially love to hear from you. Feel free to pass this around to those you know have a connection to Trinidad. https://lnkd.in/gb3bekNY For those of you in Colorado, but not connected to Trinidad, I recommend visiting the website for the State's coordinated effort. It's been well organized and I'm excited to see how inclusive we can be as a community. https://lnkd.in/gWrxYdKT Have you thought about what 250 years of governance looks like? Colorado has only been officially part of the timeline (as a state) for 150 years, hence the State bearing the name "Centennial State", but other states have longer or shorter timelines. What year did your state or nation adopt your current governance model? What do you think your state or nation could look like in another 150 or 250 years?
