Balancing personal growth with professional development was not always easy. I juggled the demands of a budding career with personal goals, and I won't lie – it was tough at times. I never made a one-year anniversary post about my first job after college, and there’s a reason why. As I navigated starting my career, I also watched my parents finalize their divorce. I’ll keep the personal details off of LinkedIn, but here’s what the last year has taught me in work and beyond: • Empathy Matters: You never know what others are going through outside of work. A little kindness goes a long way. • Work as a Constant: On tough days, work may be the only constant. Sometimes, that consistency is a welcome anchor. • Embracing Change: Life and work can both present challenges. Whatever you do, adapt, pivot when necessary, and keep moving forward. So no, I never posted celebrating my one-year. I didn’t highlight achievements throughout the year, and I didn’t network with every person I met. I focused on myself, and I’d like to think I’m better for it. With that, here’s to year two and all that comes with it—hopefully, a little bit better than the last.

It was hard to come back, but I did it! This was not the plan, but in a way what I prayed for. It's been 3 months of rugged inconsistency. It started from showing up 7 days a week to 2-3 times in a month. But what's most important to me is that I keep showing up, despite the events surrounding my inconsistency. Why? One thing. _____ The world revolves around people who deliberately put in effort to make things happen. _____ No one is going to have the slightest idea of what you've got to offer if you don't put yourself out there. Neither would people stick around, waiting for you to come off your feelings or for you to finally have some reality checks. I came to terms with these truths and it has helped shape my approach to building my brand: 1. "It is a marathon, not a sprint" 2. "Grow at your own pace to prevent burnout or demotivation" 3. "Your yesterday is your only competition, strive to be better than it" In a nutshell, the journey is unique to you. In the end, it wouldn't matter how much but rather how well you've been able to deliver. With that being said, cheers to a new day and week to put in the work. No matter how little or big. Go for it! Today, as I celebrate another year of life, I find myself reflecting on the profound journey of the past year. One month anniversary at The PAC Group. Some reflections 💭 People work for people. The best thing about the past 30 days is the passion and support I’ve experienced. People cheering you on and wanting to see you succeed is motivating beyond measure. Ask questions, over and over. It helps build base knowledge while you learn the rest. Listen carefully and take a million notes 😅 And finally, don’t look back. Every experience in life is worth having. No matter what breaks us, it makes us all the same.
