One last excuse to post this image, to finish a vintage year. Thank you to everyone we've worked with, clients and partners alike. And thank you to all the supporters, customers and members of the public that have lent their views on everything from Scottish heritage to the future of meat consumption to charity lotteries. It’s an honour to hear from each and every one. Wishing you a very merry Christmas, from Paul Seabrook and Steven Dodds at Beautiful Insights

Southern Pines Brewing Company is proud to announce that, over past nine months, we have raised a total of $4,111.38 for a variety of local nonprofit organizations (one per month). The funds, collected through an option to round-up on tabs, will go toward the mission of each individual nonprofit including: The Boys & Girls Club, Special Forces Charitable Trust, Caring Hearts for Canines, Habitat for Humanity, Sleep in Heavenly Peace Sandhills Chapter, Duskin Stephens Foundation, Friend to Friend, Children of Fallen Heroes, and The Mira Foundation. “We are so grateful for the generosity of our customers,” said owner Micah Niebauer, “Every bit adds up. Something as simple as rounding up a tab can go a long way for many of these organizations.” Staying local was important to us when partnering with organizations as it aligns with the brewery’s mission statement of fostering community. Looking ahead, SPBC is committed to continuing its charitable efforts, with plans for additional fundraising initiatives in the coming months. We invite everyone to join in supporting local nonprofits while enjoying the craft beer you know and love.

🌟 Join Us for a Special Event This Friday! 🌟 Today, we’re excited to share a heartwarming story from one of our supporters and invite you to a special event hosted by Fortune Creek to support Kelowna's Gospel Mission. 🎉 Event Details: 📅 Date: Friday, June 28th 🕓 Time: 4-8 PM 📍 Location: 231 Bernard Ave Enjoy special performances by Dawson Gray + Guests, delicious treats like Famous Butter Tarts, fresh fruit milkshakes, pies, sausage, and more! ✨ Call to Action: Please bring food donations or cash. All contributions will support Kelowna's Gospel Mission. Here’s a story that highlights why we are the charity of choice for Fortune Creek: "I heard a story once that described the difference between Heaven and Hell: In Hell there was a huge table, on it was every food imaginable, and you were allowed to eat whatever you wanted, they only rule was you could not eat with your hands. People around Hells table were sad and hungry because the utensils they were forced to use we so large they could not hold it in their hands and feed themselves. So they starved. In Heaven they had the same huge table, with the same food, and the same large utensils. Similarly, you were allowed to eat whatever you wanted, provided you did not eat with your hands. But unlike Hell, they were laughing and smiling with full bellies of amazing food. How? Because rather than feed themselves, they fed each other. That’s why the utensils were so large to begin with and because they took care of each other’s needs, they flourished. The reason why we chose KGM is we believe community challenges require community solutions. The KGM is one the best initiatives to help support our growing and changing community’s needs. " Bring your family and friends for a wonderful time! We look forward to seeing you there! #SupportLocal #Kelownas #FortuneCreek #SpecialEvent #FamilyFriendly #CommunitySupport #LocalSupportGospelMission #CommunityEvent #GiveBack

We receive multiple calls and messages daily asking if we have any Buffalo Trace, Blanton’s, or Eagle Rare. The answer is: • Buffalo Trace? Occasionally, but not much unless someone shares a barrel they win with us. • Blanton’s and Eagle Rare? Maybe one bottle every 2–3 months, sometimes less. Here’s what we do with these type of bottles: • Put them out randomly without notice—so you may get lucky, you may not. • Put them out and make multiple social media posts letting everyone know they are “first come, first serve.” • Include them in allocated bourbon drawings to give everyone a fair shot. • Use them to raise donations for charities. Here’s what we don’t do: • We will never charge “museum prices.” • Sell above MSRP—even if you offer us extra to secure a bottle. (Yes, it happens) • Keep a list or save bottles for people. • Take bottles for ourselves. We don’t mind if you ask about these bottles—because if you don’t, the answer is already no. We are more than happy to answer any questions. To get more of these sought after bourbons we have to please allocation gods by selling as many non-allocated bottles as we can. I hear if a place sells a bunch of Wheatley Vodka they get more, not sure if that’s true but tough for us being a higher end bourbon store. Thank you for your continued support—Cheers! 🥃

Over the past two weeks, Asheville has been flooded with love. From local, state, and federal agencies (yes, they are ALL here, but that’s a different post). Joe, Hank, Alice and I have been doing shifts at a grassroots collection and distribution site. The generosity is staggering. Thank you, thank you, thank you! But the needs are now evolving. Our site alone could no longer accept water, clothing, OTC meds, and much more. They have SO much. And that’s only one site. Other mountain areas (Boone, Marshall, Spruce Pine, and countless others) may need supplies, but Asheville now has what it needs to meet folks basic needs. However, restaurants can’t open bc there’s no water, and many want to pay their staff regardless. Farmers can’t sell to restaurants, so they’re donating their produce for distribution by food banks. And artists lost much — if not all — of their inventory in the flooding. - Consider donating to artists using the image below. - Support farmers here: https://lnkd.in/ewSNg39R - And if you have a truck of supplies, please direct it to a smaller town that doesn’t have as many resources as Asheville.
Local, independent businesses are the heart of the Asheville area—home to growers who are artists and artists whose work grows. Thought leaders and thought provokers, musicians and storytellers, entrepreneurs and educators, foodies and beer lovers, hippies, healers, adventurers, creators and innovators. We craft and brew and paint and carve, handcrafted by real hands. Now, those hands need a helping hand. And a hug. This weekend, Explore Asheville, in partnership with Asheville Downtown Association, Go Local Asheville, ArtsAVL, Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce, ASHEVILLE INDEPENDENT RESTAURANT ASSOCIATION INC, WNC: MADE X MTNS, Mountain BizWorks, and JD Ellison and Company, launched the Love Asheville From Afar page. This page gathers shop links and direct donation platforms for Buncombe County businesses impacted by Hurricane Helene. Businesses located in or selling from Buncombe County can participate by completing this submission form: https://lnkd.in/gFFiH_V2 Your support can make a real difference—shop local or donate to help rebuild: https://lnkd.in/gA9Mmq39

Greek Week continues to make a big impact in the local community and this hyper-local storytelling should remain a focus. I think, because we’re at a world-renowned institution, we aim a lot at showing how far-reaching our footprint goes. This story is part of that too—many of those involved will go on to do great things across the world. But, right now, we’re telling a story of students building camaraderie and connecting with where they are at this point in time and with what’s closest in proximity. That doesn’t minimize their impact by any means. So, I think this also shows how important Fraternity and Sorority Life remains to the philanthropy of the area. How FSL creates leaders and constructive citizenry. If you connect those dots, you see that this article tells multiple stories beyond the surface.
MSU Fraternity and Sorority Life concluded its annual Greek Week this past spring with excellent achievements in community service and philanthropy. Overall, Greek Week raised over $30,000 for the Greater Lansing Food Bank and the Ingham County Animal Shelter. Students organized a Crowd Change Campaign and various food fundraisers to support these vital community organizations. http://spr.ly/6047iuVtU

🎧 What does 2025 have in store for charities? In the latest Third Sector Podcast episode, Lucinda Rouse and Andy Ricketts are joined by Polly Neate CBE FAcSS LLD(hc) and Dr Wanda Wyporska, FRHistS to ponder the question. They discuss ways of engaging with local and national government, addressing the chief executive churn, and effectively balancing learned and lived experience to deliver on charitable purposes. Wanda and Polly share their views on the need for less division within the sector and more maturity among competing charities when it comes to working together. They also share their reasons to be optimistic for the year ahead, including the prospect of charities using increasing levels of far-right activism as a rallying point to counter racist and prejudiced attitudes.

A litter charity is creating a national litter database to find out why some areas are worse than others. RECOUP, based in Peterborough, also hopes the database will help advise packaging companies on how to cut down waste. As manufacturers of a large range of outdoor bins, we the team at Amberol will be watching this initiative closely. The initiative is part of the charity's Litter Composition and Pathways Project. It hopes it can be spread nationwide to allow litter picking groups to input data from a variety of locations to make the database as comprehensive and inclusive as possible. #Litter #LitterPicking #Packaging https://lnkd.in/eDguTynh

So totally profound! Watch to the end to get the full message! This is especially dedicated to all my colleages in the charitable and non profit sectors! Nobody sees the work that is being done in the dark! But "if you are unwilling to go down you can't go up". No fruits without roots! Without a root system there can't be a fruit system! Cheers Y'All! #roots #grounded #rootsystembeforefruitsystem

Great work, diversity is strength
It was great to be back at Shree Swaminarayan Mandir in Kingsbury to celebrate #Diwali 🪔 The Mandir’s charitable work and spirit of community is truly inspiring. It’s vital we come together to celebrate these special moments and remind ourselves that there is far more that unites us than divides us.
