We had the wonderful pleasure of hosting the Crime-Focused Prayer last Thursday. We were joined by Minister for the Western Cape Department of Community Safety and Police Oversight Anroux Marais, Philippi East Station Commander Colonel Mandlana as well as representatives from the Western Cape Religious Advisory Council. The day involved times of prayer, preaching and insights from the different stakeholders including crime statistics in the area. The stakeholders collectively committed to end the surge of crime. We look forward to seeing the results of this partnership in the near future. #communitysafety #safetyandsecurity #philipi #prayerservice #crimewatch #safety #stakeholderengagement #beautifulgate #beautifulgatesouthafrica

Today, we recognize and honor the hundreds of thousands of members of the American military who have spent time as prisoners of war. National Former Prisoner of War Recognition Day takes place on April 9, which is the anniversary of the start of the Bataan Death March in 1942, when tens of thousands of American and Filipino prisoners of war were forced to march along a 66-mile trail. During this 5-10 day march, many prisoners were attacked, abused, beaten and killed. In 1988, the US Congress approved legislation to recognize April 9 as an annual day of honor for former POWs. In last year’s Presidential Proclamation on National Former Prisoner of War Recognition Day, President Biden wrote, “We honor the more than half a million service members who sacrificed their freedom as prisoners of war in order to defend freedom for their fellow Americans. These brave patriots remind us of the grave costs of war and the sacrifice we ask of those who fight for us. We owe them and their families, caregivers, and survivors a debt of gratitude we can never fully repay…To every prisoner of war now safely reunited with their loved ones: We will never fail to honor your sacrifice. To every family still awaiting answers about a hero who went missing in action: We will never stop working to bring them home.” #NationalPOWMIARecognitionDay #USArmySignalCorps #Signalcorps #USARMY @US_CYBERCOM @ARCYBER @armyfutures @Signal_School @US_CYBERCOM

Every single day, we hear reports of 32, 85, 134, or 128 people murdered in Gaza, yet the BEAST claims the death toll is around 20,000. They lie, over and over again. Estimates put the number at over 250,000, with more than 50,000 children among the dead. Their evil agenda is clear: to kill them all, by any means necessary. Where are they supposed to go? The largest open-air prison in the world—what does that make Gaza now? __________________ ____________________ __________________ ENTITY (noun): A force or organization so devoid of humanity that it systematically commits atrocities and hides behind shallow justifications, a symbol of destruction, violence, and pure evil that must be eradicated from the human collective. DO NOT ask me again if I condemned October 7th!!! #BlockTheEmbassies United Nations International Criminal Court International Court of Justice (ICJ) INTERPOL United Nations Office at Geneva World Organisation Against Torture (OMCT)
On 400 days a day - a family of 32 blown into pieces On the exact day that it is 400 days since the ongoing genocide against the more than 2.2 million detained in the world's largest open-air prison was initiated, the occupation army "celebrated" the day by bombing a building in the remains of Jabalya town/refugee camp in the northern part, where approx. 40 members of the same family had sought asylum. So far, 32 of them - including at least 19 children - have been blown up to pieces! HOW long does the world community intend to wait and shout; Enough IS Enough?!

Call for Abstracts: Thinking and Practicing Abolition Through Palestine. This special issue of Abolitionist Perspectives in Social Work invites social work and abolitionist scholars from across the world to join with Palestinian feminists and Indigenous decolonial movements in imagining and co-creating a world free of settler colonial violence and carceral practices. While social work abolitionists have been deepening their understanding of the intertwined relationship between prisons, carcerality, and liberation, the previous 11 months of genocidal violence against Palestinians have amplified the need to further explore abolition of the “embodied social condition of captivity” (Ihmoud, 2024, p. 208) through Palestine, Palestinian lives, and Palestinian resistance. Deadline: October 28, 2024 https://lnkd.in/eYE57Tnn

I want to suggest that the education industry in the United States (and obviously elsewhere) has completely come off the rails. Students and faculty having opinions and beliefs is fine, there is nothing wrong with that. Having students and faculty obediently repeating slogans and believing false histories and violent propaganda that a young child would be expected to question is beyond useless for our society or for the future of the human race. This is not about Qatari, Chinese or American money. This is about Universities turning out unthinking followers who will be incapable of rational thought while piloting aircraft, performing surgery, teaching students, writing software, voting for laws, or driving a car. This is no longer about Israel, zionism, antisemitism, or a few jelly brains. If the education industry cannot tell fact from fiction, and good from evil, it must not be allowed to continue along this path with its current leaders or mission.
At Cooper Union, where Jewish students had to lock themselves inside a library to escape a violent mob freely roaming the building, Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) held an October 7th vigil not for the murdered but for the murderers. Memorializing the murderers rather than the murdered is a little like prosecuting the rape victims rather than the rapists. It is victim-blaming and terrorism worship at its most demonic.

Please take 10 minutes to listen to this Ukrainian prisoner of war. Here is a victim of brutal sadistic ruzzian military tactics or is it just part of their societal norm. The torture and murder is taking place in present day. We must do our best to get this information out to the free world. What kind of society develops these monsters who carry these sadistic actions. Is ruzzian society so bent on destroying Ukrainian men, women, children and its culture ? How is this not a form of genocide ? Spread the information far and wide. The world press needs to make this ruzzian inhumanity known throughout the world. Justice must be had for the victims of these crimes.

Why haven't they protested against it? death mechanism; Graves with 100,000 bodies exposed in #Damascus #Syria is slowly beginning to reveal the extent of the horrific killings carried out by the Assad regime against its own people. Trump’s Bullying Won’t Shake Palestinians! Donald Trump’s threats may shake Arab leaders, but they won’t intimidate Palestinians—especially Gazans. Gaza has been living through #hell. What more hell could Trump threaten? To Trump: Come January 20th, reality will hit you harder than your threats. Gazans, steeled by years of suffering, won’t be broken. Netanyahu clearly isn’t interested in #peace. The 2 million Gazans, trapped under siege, are hostages of this war too. If Israel wanted to end this crisis, it could have done so long ago. 16,000 Palestinians remain in Israeli prisons, many without trial. If hostages are the focus, these Palestinian prisoners must be part of the conversation. Bullying won’t bring peace—justice will. No hostages will be freed until Palestinian prisoners are free. #MiddleEast #Gaza #Palestine #Trump #Hostages #HumanRights #FreePalestinianPrisoners #DonaldTrump #POTUS #Palestine #TrumpThreats #Hostages #BullyingTactics #EndApartheid
