During Men’s Health Month, we are shining a spotlight on two critical issues facing men: suicide prevention and prostate cancer awareness. 💙 At Altrad RMD Kwikform, we’re committed to supporting the health and wellbeing of not only our male colleagues but their friends, and family members too! That’s why we’re encouraging open conversations about mental health, offering support networks, and promoting regular health check-ups. We’re also highlighting the importance of early detection and regular screenings for prostate cancer. #MensHealthMonth #SuicidePrevention #ProstateCancerAwareness

It’s Men’s health week this week - Suicide is one of the biggest causes of death for men under 35. - One man in five dies before the age of 65. - Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. - Over 52,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year. This week is about breaking down the stigma around health issues in men and encouraging those who are struggling or suffering with symptoms of health concerns to seek out support. It’s time to start taking men’s health seriously. Here are some ways you can help reduce the stigma and encourage those struggling with health concerns to seek help: - Encourage talking about feelings - Encourage seeking therapy - Encourage regularly getting health checks - Don’t judge others for seeking support - Talk more about stigmatised men’s health concerns (e.g. prostate cancer, mental health) - Understand that it is okay to not be okay Get in touch with us today to book an immediate same-day or next-day appointment with our GP: text us via WhatsApp (07469 437222) or visit our booking form on our website (https://lnkd.in/euurdVN2). #menshealthweek2024 #MHW2024 #menshealth #mensmentalhealthmatters #mentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #prostatecancerawareness

Men’s health awareness month - Mental health and suicide prevention - Prostate cancer - Testicular cancer On average, men live 4.5 years less than women and most often due to reasons that could be easily overcome. #Movember is raising awareness for men’s health but your input is needed as well: - Spend time with people who make you feel good. - Talk, more, especially about the big things in life. - Know the numbers, know the history. - Know thy nuts. Simple. If something feels wrong, see the doctor. - Stay active. #Promicol #menshealth #prostatecancer

Summer is here. Do you know early summer has the highest number of deaths by suicide than any other season? WHO reports over 1 billion people have a mental illness and/or substance use disorder. That is over 12% of people on this planet. Cancer prevalence is 6% globally. But we talk more openly about cancer than mental illnesses and substance use disorders. We also spend more on cancer research. We can reduce the prevalence by educating, improving access to care, and research. #suicideawareness #mentalhealthawareness

The mental health of cancer patients is often neglected in the traditional healthcare system. Patients can find help for physical pain, discomfort, or worries with their care team, but who do they turn to with questions about their emotional and mental struggles? Cancer patients are moms, dads, husbands, wives, sons, daughters, employees, active community members - people who have lives, cares, worries, passions... and who are battling cancer amongst all of their normal life. On World Mental Health Day, may we consider how as employers, family, friends, physicians, and caretakers, we can support cancer patients. Let's talk about cancer, and when we do, disrupt the way it impacts our lives and our minds. If you're seeking help, reach out to us at https://lnkd.in/da39ZQB5 to see what's available for you. #worldmentalhealthday #mentalhealth #employeementalhealth #employeewellness #wheelhousecares #cancerprevention #cancercoach #caremanagement #humanresourcesmanagement #employeecancerbenefits #employeebenefits #oncologynursenavigation
