Is your leadership inadvertently overshadowing potential? 🌟 This Black History Month, let's explore the pivotal role we play as leaders in nurturing an environment where every voice is heard and valued, especially in addressing the subtle yet impactful microaggressions that can pervade our workplaces. 🌿 Microaggressions, though often small and unintentional, can significantly hinder the sense of belonging and contribution of Black employees and other marginalized individuals. As leaders and coaches, it's imperative that we not only recognize these behaviors but actively engage in conversations and actions to eliminate them, fostering a culture of true inclusion and respect. 🔄 This week, I challenge you to reflect on the dynamics within your teams and interactions. Are there moments where bias could inadvertently influence your behavior or decisions? Let's commit to continuous learning and improvement by initiating meaningful conversations and embodying the change we wish to see. How will you contribute to creating a more inclusive environment in your leadership practice? Let's share, learn, and grow together. #LeadershipGrowth #InclusiveExcellence #BlackHistoryMonth2024

Leadership success often come via our networks. But how we “work our net” can be a bit of a mystery. I had the honor of joining my good friend Billy Dexter and Melissa G Wilson - both genuine networking experts - on their podcast “Awake in the Network.” We discussed my professional journey and exchanged thoughts about the power and benefits of connections and bringing people together. As you listen, I hope you find a few nuggets of wisdom that might help you along your journey to inclusive leadership. #rocleadership #inclusiveleadership

Radical Visioning as Black Leaders, a learning series for Black leadership, starts Friday, Nov. 15th! https://lnkd.in/dkbDrSBG When Black folks step into greater power and responsibility, they often inherit old visions and outdated traditions of enacting leadership that don't necessarily align with or fully capture their brilliance, values, and potential. Is your leadership truly inclusive? 🤔 Let's dive deep this Black History Month. #Leadership #Inclusion #BlackHistoryMonth As we continue our journey through Black History Month, this week's theme is 'The Anti-Racist Leader.' It's a call to action for all of us, especially those in leadership roles, to reflect, educate, and transform. 🔍 Tip: Start with self-awareness. Recognize your biases and understand how they can influence your decisions and interactions. It's uncomfortable but necessary work. 📚 Try This: Dedicate time each week to educate yourself on the history and experiences of Black communities. Books, documentaries, and conversations can be powerful tools for learning. 🤝 Call to Action: Engage in open, honest dialogues within your organization about race and inclusion. Encourage feedback and listen truly. It's not about having all the answers but about being committed to finding them together. As a leader, my role is to listen, learn, and support actions that drive real change. What steps will you take towards becoming an anti-racist leader? #AntiRacistLeadership #SelfAwareness #EducateYourself #BeTheChange
