Empower Work, a participant in our Lean Impact for Scale training just released their latest worker report, The Hidden Realities of Job Searching in 2024. It highlights an untold story - the majority of workers in the US do not feel like the job market is good, and it’s taking a toll emotionally and economically. Earlier this year, Empower Work saw a sharp increase in job loss and job search as topics in text-line conversations. Their report shares key findings from 913 survey responses across industries, demographics, and geographies as well as deeper stories that highlight the unique experiences of workers. In their key findings, Empower Work found that over 78% of workers are actively looking for work because they are dissatisfied, underemployed, or unemployed.
