Finally published online! Our book chapter, co-authored with Dr. Antony Wong, investigates the distinct natures of communities—both geographically and socio-anthropologically defined—and discusses their application of community-based tourism (CBT) as a universal development approach. This chapter extends the potential of CBT from predominantly rural contexts to other settings with examples. This timely Research Agenda, co-edited by Prof. Robin Nunkoo, Ph.D, Dr. Thanika D. Juwaheer and Dr. Siamak Seyfi, explores the crucial need to understand the social impact of tourism in order to manage industry growth sustainably. Highlighting the multifaceted nature of tourism, chapters uncover the intricate relationships between tourists and host communities and investigate this complex social fabric. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gizVM7yv Thank you my co-author, book editors, and Edward Elgar Publishing for continuous support throughout the process. We are glad to contribute to the discussion on the social impacts of tourism! #Communitybasedtourism #Socialimpacts #Tourismdevelopment #Researchagenda
