Interesting - the learner's role in education has progressively been minimalised in our language. The word "provider" is being challenged. The quality of water is an important factor - and you can lead people to it - but this doesn't guarantee people will a) drink it or b) if they do, know the difference between it and poorer quality water... Like many, we fall into calling our organisation an Independent Training Provider. This convincing article by Susan Pember in FE Week challenges that... Who thinks that we could better articulate what we do with the label Independent Learning Organisation?

This is really interesting and not something I’ve paused to think about, until now! I love the idea that your title reflects exactly what you do and when I think about it we maybe aren’t a provider! We are so much more. There’s food for thought here Ben Wire 👍🏻
