#Geohazard, #landslide - What about ..... is it or isn't it .. what does the national data exhibit ? Since we have no national capacity to exhibit any historic displacement data for areas in the landslide susceptibility map (C - or L - Band Radar displacement results), we are literally looking at a dot on a map with no image, just a location, where an event, landslip, landslide, or something that exhibits a change in surface information happened. We think .................. R E D I C U L O U S ! ##################################### CAUTION ##################################### from: https://lnkd.in/giewgiEJ "There are limitations to performing a hazard analysis remotely, and thus, further investigation and monitoring would be beneficial to accurately determine the threats posed by the mapped landslides. Provisional data may be inaccurate due to instrument malfunctions or physical changes at the measurement site. Subsequent review based on field inspections and measurements may result in significant revisions to the data. The data are being provided to meet the need for timely best science and are released on the condition that neither the USGS nor the U.S. Government may be held liable for any damages resulting from authorized or unauthorized use of the information. Data users are cautioned to consider carefully the provisional nature of the information before using it for decisions that concern personal or public safety or the conduct of business that involves substantial monetary or operational consequences. 🏔 Proud to have originated a kinematic analysis using DIPS to process field discontinuity data, informing slope remediation projects. By meticulously studying rock formations and structural characteristics, we identified potential instability factors and devised targeted solutions. Each measurement translated into actionable insights, guiding our efforts to enhance safety and resilience in challenging terrain around Scotland. Reflecting on the satisfaction of blending field expertise with cutting-edge analysis for impactful outcomes. #Rocksloperemediation #fielddataanalysis #Geotechnicalengineering #dips #mapping

Applications of Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) for Soil Layer and Stratum Layer Investigation #### Applications: 1. **Soil Layer Investigation:** - Identifying and mapping different soil layers to understand soil composition, density, and moisture content. - Locating voids, sinkholes, or other subsurface anomalies that could affect construction projects. 2. **Stratum Layer Analysis:** - Distinguishing between soft and hard strata layers to aid in geotechnical and civil engineering projects. - Assessing the depth and thickness of different strata layers, is crucial for foundation design and construction planning. 3. **Archaeological Surveys:** - Detecting and mapping buried archaeological artifacts and structures without excavation. 4. **Environmental Studies:** - Monitoring contamination of plumes. - Investigating landfill sites and detecting buried waste. 5. **Infrastructure Assessment:** - Evaluating the condition of underground utilities such as pipes and cables. - Inspecting roads, bridges, and other infrastructure for subsurface anomalies that could indicate potential failures.
Soil layer investigation is a critical yet complex task for geotechnical engineers and land surveyors. Traditional methods like trial pits and boreholes are time-consuming, costly, and often fail to provide a comprehensive understanding of the subsurface. At G Map, we've revolutionized soil layer investigation with our advanced Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) technology. Our GPR survey solutions can overcome the challenges of: - Limited data coverage - Accessibility issues - Inaccurate data - Time and cost constraints Discover how our GPR expertise can transform your soil layer investigation projects. Contact us today to learn more about our innovative solutions and how they can help you make data-driven decisions with confidence. #GPRSurvey #SoilLayerInvestigation #GeotechnicalEngineering #NondestructiveTesting #SubsurfaceMapping #AdvancedSurveyingTechnologies #GroundPenetratingRadar #GPR #ConstructionSurvey #UtilityMapping #UtilityDetection #LandslideMonitoring #FoundationSurvey #GeologicalSurvey #OmanInfrastructure #Muscat

Large-scale mapping is essential for the efficient management of water services. With detailed maps that identify the main hydrographic networks, large-scale cartography serves as the basis for supply systems to know the height of all pipes and the direction in which the water naturally flows. Associating a place of consumption with a house number is one of many examples where cartography is an asset.

Tech Used: Ground Penetrating Radar Project Type: Facility Pavement Assessment Location: Rockhampton, QLD SureScan was engaged to perform an extensive ground-penetrating radar (GPR) survey on a processing facility as part of an expansion project. The primary objective of the project was to undertake GPR survey on select areas to identify structural characteristics such as reinforcement detail and concrete thicknesses. The GPR was deployed to ensure shallow subsurface detection, with scan paths laid out in a grid pattern to ensure full coverage of the areas of interest. Looking for accurate structural insights? Find out how we can help you > www.surescan.com.au #SureScan #ConcreteScanning #NonDestructiveTesting #DefectIdentification #Rectification
