Here's the scenario - you are mid-program planning and a sponsor on wants to consider serving kegs of beer during the opening reception. You reach out to your catering contact and they come back with some terms that make you go 😅 . You jump on Google and search Jockey Box and get a bunch of pictures of horse riders, and a few pictures of a cooler. You finally jump on teams and ping a co-worker with F&B experience to ask them what the heck a Jockey Box is. Let me save you the time, energy, and slight embarrassment. A Jockey box is a retro-fitted cooler that includes the ability to tap and pour from kegs. Typically used for quarter barrel kegs, It's a great table-top keg option for events. The next step up would be a kegerator (a bit more self explanatory) however, not all kegerators are created equal (and not all kegs are created equal). As the football season came to its exciting conclusion last weekend, EBar units were at four of our six Premier League customers! Home and away fans loved the fast pouring, keg-fresh pints and, with all six clubs clear of the relegation zone, we're looking forward to deploying to even more Premier League grounds next season. Football stadia present a unique challenge for their food and beverage managers. There is typically a service window of only 45 to 60 minutes as fans are unable to take their drinks to their seats in England. This can make it difficult to serve enough drinks to meet the fan demand and to make food and drink service profitable. EBars uniquely solve this problem by dispensing at rates up to double that of a typical stadium kiosk. Our venue customers have found that the EBar sales are incremental to their baseline kiosk sales, showing that if fans are not presented with long queues they will often chose to buy a drink that they might not have previously. And it’s not just beer sales that can increase – shorter queues at the kiosks mean that customers may also now go and purchase that additional cup of tea or a pie! #BackOfTheNetFrontOfTheQueue #LoveEBar
