Extreme weather events have undermined stability and development around the world. This is particularly the case in the most vulnerable regions, where competition over increasingly scarce resources leads to tensions, conflict and population displacement. In his book, our Executive Director Andrew Gilmour explores a number of historical and contemporary links between #ClimateChange, conflict and security. He also examines how we can ensure that our efforts to address the climate crisis advance sustainable peace. The book also contains in-depth analysis of the security implications of climate migration, the energy transition and environmental peacebuilding. 📕: https://lnkd.in/gtASTFhN

Thank you Andrew Gilmour for an excellent book! I found the very many examples and cases very illustrative. I especially liked the Ukraine chapter for showing the complex and compounding effects of the war on the environment and through increased war related emissions, also on climate change.
