Winston Churchill once said, “Success is stumbling from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.” This quote perfectly encapsulates the idea of failing forward - AgroEknor recently launched YieldPro; a tech-driven system backed by Mastercard Foundation and Aruwa Capital Management and this reminded me of our first farming scheme that ended up in considerable failure and the journey to value that failure for the lessons learnt and then apply those lessons to future efforts that birthed the YieldPro solution! Did you know that in 1983 ISBM launched its first course offering at Penn State titled, “Value and Pricing Strategy” by Dr. Irv Gross? And, in that same year, ISBM is recognized by Penn State’s VP of Research as an “Area of Excellence”. And here we are in 2024 still teaching these same, timeless principles!

It was so amazing to have the opportunity to talk to Kim Greene, CEO of Georgia Power, and others from Georgia Power, as well as Dean Raheem Beyah about Energy and Women in Engineering. We had a panel with other Women in Engineering and discussed 1) how to fix the “leaky pipeline” of women in engineering and 2) how to get more people interested in power, which are the two things I love to figure out answers to with Women in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Tech and Energy Club at Georgia Tech
