Times have changed and PepsiCo is making the most - or least - of it. The Pepsi brand has teamed up with Shaq to promote minicans, a package that will get a big push from the brand this year. The emphasis is timely given concerns that consumers need more affordable food and beverage package sizes in these inflationary times (and at a higher price per ounce, which is good for the bottom line and investors). The last time Shaquille O'Neal and Pepsi partnered in 1994, they were promoting a 1-liter bottle of cola called the Big Slam.
