Actor & Content Creator with Type 1 Diabetes

🎬 Saturday was the first taping of the Hey T1D show! I have met countless adults, diagnosed with T1D as adults, seeking more information. Adults diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes rarely receive the same type of education on T1D as children and their parents do. That is why I was encouraged to create this new show, which focuses on asking experts questions about Type 1 Diabetes. I was thrilled to start the show with Diabetes Educator and Dietitian Alison Higgins. She was a wealth of knowledge! #diabetes #type1diabetes #insulin #atlanta

Looking forward to checking out the show. I'm a diabetes industry professional as well as a previous Huffington Post contributing columnist on living with T1D. I was diagnosed with T1d at age 32 and what a different world it was back then! Good luck! Is there a direct link to the channel? Thanks! Peg

That at the end of this year or the beginning of next year we will say goodbye forever to her, to the punctures, insulin pumps, to the punctures. From being chronic to being curable non-chronic. Let a pancreatic beta cell therapy arrive for isolated pancreas transplants for type 1 diabetes mellitus. Let it arrive in Spain and Andalusia and arrive at the beginning of next year. Please. Let it arrive now.

I was diagnosed in 1979, before most of the technology of today was dreamed of. Continuing to learn is very important with T1D.

This is great! I’m (almost) 67 and have been a T1D for 41 years. It’s encouraging to hear from someone give diabetes advice to adults and seniors! Keep up the great work!

What an amazing idea, I’m meeting so many women newly diagnosed as adults. It’s overwhelming, the medical tools make it easier but even that’s hard for them to learn and adjust too. A much needed area of T1D care that’s missing. I’ll be sure to share this show. Thank you!

What an amazing idea! My sister (also T1D) was diagnosed as a child and I was diagnosed as an adult. Our experiences could not be more night and day. I wish this existed when I was first diagnosed 7 years ago, but so glad it exists today! Can’t wait to check it out and share.
