Could the Commission for Nurse Reimbursement End the Nursing Shortage? We conducted an interview with Rebecca Love RN, MSN, FIEL, Co-founder of the Commission for Nurse Reimbursement for her insights. “Society cannot function without nurses. It’s one of the oldest and most important professions. We are all going to need nurses at some point in our lives. So if we don’t solve this problem–if we don’t start caring for nurses–then we risk the health of the nation.” #NurseReimbursement #HealthcareFunding #NursingCompensation #MedicalFinance #HealthPolicy #NurseAdvocacy #HealthcareReform #NursingEducation #HealthSystem #NurseSupport

Interview with Thomas Hazel, MSN, Associate Professor, NCLEX Success Team, Nightingale College “Many people don’t realize how much nurses contribute to patient outcomes. Their vigilance, quick thinking, and ability to respond to changes in a patient’s condition can make all the difference in recovery. Nurses also play a crucial role in educating patients and their families and helping them understand how to manage their health.” #RegisteredNurse #NursingCareer #HealthcareProfessionals #NursingEducation #RN #PatientCare #NursingJobs #Healthcare #NurseLife #NursingSchool #ClinicalPractice #HealthcareCareers #NursingCommunity #FutureNurse #NursingLicensure

As we continue to examine the critical data emerging from our most recent Nurse Survey, it's clear that the challenges faced by nurses today signal a pivotal moment for the healthcare industry. Robin Johnson, Group President of AMN Healthcare's Nursing & Allied Solutions, said, "The concerns that many nurses have about their profession were not created by COVID-19 and have not gone away now that the crisis has passed. Many nurses still feel overworked and undercompensated. What they want to see is a change in their daily working conditions – better hours, fair compensation, and more time with their patients. She continued, "This is not just a nurse morale issue, it’s a public health issue. A more engaged, productive nurse workforce means better care and better outcomes for the patients they serve. While the healthcare industry is acutely aware of this, the survey shows more work needs to be done.” Read the full article on Fox News Media to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the nursing profession. https://lnkd.in/eh6-6vRW

This is why we do what we do! Since 2019, we’ve found creative ways to support nurse professionals in leveraging and using their clinical skills in ways that still support patient care across healthcare. It’s easy to blame a generation of nurses for having boundaries and not wanting to stick around and deal with impossible situations. It’s easy to call nurses lazy when what you’re actually seeing is burnout from being placed in situations where they experience distress and inability to be present and provide quality care and support. But it’s also easy to say that the nurse exodus is just new grads when we have a large percentage of retiring nurses, disabled nurses, and neurodivergent nurses who are unable to locate the right unit for their skill set and abilities. And let’s not forget the sandwich generation of nurses who have children and sick/aging adult parents at home who cannot work a traditional—3-day/12-hour rotating schedule. And that’s where we come in. According to The Future of Nursing, 2020 to 2030, experts say that it’s better to retain nursing knowledge within healthcare than have them leave altogether. Wouldn’t it be better to have a nurse find a new unit to work in than to have them drive trucks across the country? We have years of career transition experience, work with and helped nurses who would rather leave and work at a retail store hanging clothes than ever put themselves back into a clinical care space again. We work with nurses to provide clear career paths forward so they can continue using their nursing knowledge and recover their passion for patient care. Without nurses, there are no healthcare “services”.
