Location: Delhi/ Bangalore
Role Summary :
The BDM will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and
market expansion within the Indian pet care industry. This position requires a
strategic leader with a proven track record in sales management, team development, and market penetration. The National Sales Manager will be responsible for crafting and executing a comprehensive sales strategy, leading a high-performing sales team, and fostering cross-functional collaboration to achieve organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement a robust sales strategy aligned with organizational objectives, considering market trends and competitive dynamics in the Indian pet care industry.
2. Team Leadership and Development: Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing sales team, fostering a positive and collaborative work culture. Ensure the team is aligned with organizational goals and equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to drive success.
3. Market Expansion: Identify and capitalize on opportunities for market expansion across diverse regions in India. Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including retailers, veterinarians, and pet care professionals.
4. Sales Target Achievement: Set realistic sales targets and KPIs, monitoring team performance regularly. Implement effective strategies to achieve and exceed sales goals,
adapting tactics as needed.
5. Product Knowledge and Training: Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and the latest developments in pet care products. Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the product knowledge and selling skills of the sales team.
6. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and other business partners. Address customer concerns promptly, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
7. Budget Management: Collaborate with the finance department to develop and manage the sales budget efficiently. Optimize resource allocation to achieve maximum returns on investment.
8. Competitor Analysis: Conduct regular analysis of competitor activities, pricing strategies, and market positioning. Utilize insights to adjust sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
9. Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in the pet care industry. Collaborate with regulatory affairs teams to address legal or compliance issues.
