One of the many advantages of Virtual production it blurs the lines between production and post-production. Filmmakers can capture high-quality visual effects shots on set, reducing the need for extensive post-production work. This streamlines the post-production process and enables faster turnaround times. Imagine shooting this scene on location. #virtualproduction #filmmaking
Last week we had the pleasure of collaborating with Garden Studios at their event ‘Ad Production: The Virtual Studio Advantage’, working to create a fully formed ad for Pirate's Grog Rum within 45 minutes. This was a welcome opportunity to highlight the effectiveness of Virtual Production within the advertising world, and for us to showcase how SFX can enhance virtual techniques to ground a film in reality. From remaining constantly vigilant to avoid any damage of expensive equipment all the way to rigging up effects to hit just at the right change of imagery on the screen, we were delighted to highlight how the Virtual Production and SFX world go hand-in-hand. A big shout out to the other companies involved: Anna Valley, Brompton Technology Limited, Focus Canning, Mo-Sys Engineering Ltd, Mission Digital and Panalux , along with our new favourite pirate, Xander Turian, who withstood the gale force winds of our 2ft Handheld Fan and being pelted by storms of rain from our lances.
