𝗔𝗜 𝗦𝗨𝗠𝗠𝗜𝗧 𝗜𝗡 𝗡𝗨𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗔 𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗬𝗔: 𝗔𝗡 𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗣𝗔𝗧𝗛 Sometimes, individuals venture off the traditional path, opting for unconventional routes. This was the case when Navodya Jayasundara, an emerging entrepreneur from Bluechip Technologies Asia, approached me with the idea of an 𝗔𝗜 𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗡𝘂𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝘆𝗮. What caught my attention was her proposal to 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗔𝗜 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗮 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆, choosing Nuwara Eliya as the venue. While it's hard to gauge the efficacy of their strategies at this juncture, it's evident that they're not deterred by the prospect of taking risks. In an era where many young individuals are contemplating leaving the country, it's commendable to see young entrepreneurs like Navodya and her peers daring to explore uncharted territories by experimenting with AI in Sri Lanka. With my limited knowledge of the tea industry, these could be a few options for 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗜𝗔 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗮 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆. 1. Tea tasting with accuracy 2. Frequent Mobile soil testing with instant results with geo-mapping of soil richness. 3. Yield Predicting models 4. Separating and choosing high-quality leaves before plucking and the ideal time to pluck them. It's time to #disrupt an industry that has not changed much in the last 150 years.
