What muscles are you currently building?
Last week, I started flexing/trying to find my meditation/mindfulness muscle. I am starting with 1-minute ones (trying to do it one or two times a day). 🧘♀️
Just like building up your physical muscles for a plank, this takes time and practice. I am proud to say I now am up to a 1-minute 15-second plank once a day, but this took time and started with 15 seconds. 💪
I enjoyed this 1-minute reset today; if you are also building this muscle, try it and let me know how it feels. https://lnkd.in/eR59N6fn
I like this approach! My most successful mindfulness moment is listening to a Yoga Nidra (on Insight Timer, by Jennifer Percy) as I go to sleep. That really grounds and focuses me and helps me leave the workday behind.
I've also really been enjoying "exercise snacks" - 5 minute movement breaks, as close to every 30 minutes as I can pull off!
🌱If you want to experiment with your life and discover new dimensions in a totally safe but powerful way, you should try this simple practice!🌱

Discover the Power of Calming Breaths
Welcome to Day 13 of our Journaling Challenge! Today, we're diving into the incredible effects of deep, slow breathing. It's a simple exercise with a profound impact on our emotions.

Let's set the intention to connect with our breath, granting ourselves permission to find serenity amidst life's chaos.
What if, in each inhale and exhale, we could discover a moment of calm, even in the most stressful situations?
Remember a time when you faced a highly stressful situation, like a tension-filled family gathering. How did deep, slow breathing affect your emotions? Did it provide temporary relief?
In my recent experience, deep breathing not only offered immediate relief, but it transformed my emotional state. It allowed me to approach the situation with renewed patience and understanding, turning a potentially explosive conversation into a calm and productive one.
This reminds us of the incredible influence of deep, slow breathing in managing emotions and diffusing tension. It's not just a quick fix; it's a valuable tool for building emotional resilience and nurturing healthier relationships.
Are you ready to explore the power of calming breath?
Reflect on this journey of self-discovery, guided by the gentle rhythm of your breath.

For those of you who want to get fit but don’t have the time to go to the gym, I would like to introduce you with Evan Button C.S.C.S.Evan Button C.S.C.S. was introduced to me during lock down by my friend Jacqueline Teoh she had trained with him in Singapore. I was honestly not too optimistic in the beginning since there was not much possibility to visit the gym and I didn’t have much training equipment at home, but I was amazed how Evan Button C.S.C.S. could remotely figure a very comprehensive training program with very few items. I had monthly sessions with him 3 times a week, I recall I couldn’t almost walk or wake out of bed the next day due to sore muscles initially but with some persistence and sometime even with pain killers eventually the muscle aches got less and less, I could do planks and push ups without difficulty, I was amazed by the result, I was expecting a lot changes after the lock-down but one thing I wasn’t expecting was getting fit by someone instructing me remotely from Singapore via online sessions run from my phone - someone, whom I actually had never met in person..
Having these sessions helped me a lot in may ways, after the lock down I picked up running after the workouts and I kept the momentum gained by our practices going..
There will be days that you wake up, and strenuous physical workout would be the last thing in your mind, but even if you want to give up, there is one thing, he wont give up on you.. and that type of encouragement is exactly what you need when you are first starting to push your physical boundaries to get fit and stronger not just physically but mentally in life..
I would recommend you to check his website for more information
