NextDayBetter CEO || #ResponsibleAI + #HumanMigration || Proud Dad || II Google Tech Policy Fellow II Wheaton College Trustee
REMINDER: Don’t take your College/University Presidents for granted. You can add provosts, professors, adjunct professors, administrators, food hall servers to that list too—anyone who makes spaces for learning and unlearning possible. Give ‘em a hug today. Happy to catch up with Wheaton College Massachusetts President Emeritus, Dennis Hanno. As a trustee who has seen the underbelly of higher education, I assure you that running an institution is no easy feat, especially in a divided, fearful, and changing America. They are at the frontlines of harsh criticism, shepherding a slow-moving ship to shine brighter for humanity. They are human with superhuman abilities and willpower. In the face of hard choices and impossible challenges, they achieve wins. From time to time, their leadership generates miracles. Whether you are a professor or President, I am thankful for anyone who takes up the mantle of leadership in higher education. We need them now more than ever. Also, doesn’t Luis Báez 🇵🇷🏳️🌈 have an amazing smile? Wheaton The Posse Foundation legend. #HigherEd #Leadership #Provost #HigherEd

Nurturing new leaders Leadership Without Borders, now 10 years old, empowers and serves undocumented students on campus. When you're an undocumented student, nearly every step of your college journey is a challenge. Juggling essays, transcripts, financial aid, school tours and choosing a major, you’re also navigating immigration policies and risking exposing your citizenship status. It’s a time when students need a resource, and 10 years ago, the UW’s Leadership Without Borders program formed to fill that need. https://lnkd.in/g2RCdvBt
