Kyle Massey, a former corporate finance professional turned farmer, founded Lone Star Lettuce Growers in response to the growing demand for locally grown organic produce in central Texas. Initially experimenting with aquaponics, Massey encountered challenges in maintaining optimal conditions for cultivation. In a strategic move, Massey transitioned Lone Star Lettuce Growers to organic hydroponics and integrated Moleaer nanobubble technology to optimize dissolved oxygen levels. This solution led to remarkable improvements in crop quality and yield. Consistent dissolved oxygen levels of 13 PPM and reduced algae growth were notable outcomes attributed to Moleaer's technology. 𝐓𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐬 Did you know that we are proud partner of the Nitrogen Efficient Plants for Climate Smart Arable Cropping Systems (NCS) Project, exploring the potential to reduce carbon emissions, increase pulses and legumes in the arable rotation and reduce the reliance on imported soya meal? As part of the project, we recently caught up with long-time LEAF Demonstration Farmer, Paul Hayward of Cold Harbour Farm in Yorkshire, to talk all things pulses and crop health! Committed to sustainability, Paul is eager to continue his work as a case study farm, sharing data insights with the NCS project, engaging with the PulsePEP community (a network of farmers sharing pulse knowledge and insights, plus trial results) and exploring advanced legume practices. Paul's innovative approach and farm practices include: 🫘Integrating field beans into extended rotations 🚜Conducting phosphate trials 🌱Using mycorrhizal fungi to safeguard plants against drought ✔️Yield monitoring 👏Demonstrating how LEAF farmers are leading the way in sustainable legume farming through Integrated Farm Management Delving deeper into the field trials, Paul revealed that his early-season catch crops can capture up to 50 kilos of nitrogen, thus improving soil health and reducing artificial fertiliser use. Helping businesses design and build future-proof innovation systems | Innovation Architect | Strategist | Design your future
An exciting visit to Introlab (Pty) Ltd today - learning about biostimulants and their role in #regenerative #agricultural practices. What are biostimulants? I wasn't quite clear on it myself before today... Biostimulants are substances or microorganisms that are applied to seeds, plants, or the rhizosphere to enhance plant growth and health. They are NOT fertilizers!!! They can stimulate natural processes to improve nutrient uptake, use efficiency, and tolerance to stress, as well as crop quality and yield... among other positive benefits. 🌱🌾 It was not long before we were #connecting dots across industries and thinking about how we could help each other reach our goals. 🥅💯 (Sadly - I forgot to take a photo... oh well!). Think #innovation #foodsecurity #biostimulants #possibility 🤩 Nico Walters https://introlab.co.za

Input Cost vs Input Investment Many approach a project with a mindset of input cost. What it will cost to do or start the project. Most farming programs have an ongoing variable cost, due to input cost that are not controlled by the farm operator. Example of a few: fertilizer, hybrid seeds, electricity, equipment and chemicals. YumBotSpice 🌱 Vertical soil grow systems 🌱 Our program is offered with a mindset that applies input investment. This approach executes a project with a ROI ( Return On Investment ) mindset. Example of a few: heirloom seeds, living-soil, optional off-grid sodium power storage managed with analog software and aqua-fertilization. Short Story: The YumBotSpice 🌱 approach is an investment in nutrient rich healthy food and yield. #inputcost #investment #food #vegetables #fruits #grow https://lnkd.in/gnBxWvHp

Head of Plant Breeding, Crop Science at Bayer | Shaping the Future of Agricultural Production | People-Focused Employee Development Leader
At Bayer, we understand how crucial it is for American farmers to have access to the crop protection tools they need. That's why we've joined more than 60 agricultural organizations to form the Modern Ag Alliance, a coalition focused on protecting these essential resources. Our mission? To advocate for legislation that ensures consistent labeling and keeps farming innovations like glyphosate available to those who need them most. We believe in science-based regulation, which is why we oppose state rules that contradict EPA determinations. The safety and necessity of glyphosate are central to modern agriculture's sustainability. By supporting this coalition, we're helping reinforce the importance of glyphosate in maintaining crop yields, competitiveness, and affordability for American farmers. Let's work together to keep American farming strong and sustainable. #Glyphosate #Bayer #AmericanFarmers
